A medical device management system comprising a defibrillating apparatus, which comprises a plurality of electrodes configured to monitor ECG signals and deliver a defibrillation shock. The system including a communication unit configured to establish a secured wireless network, automatically generate a first text message upon receipt of a signal indicative of deployment of the defibrillating apparatus, associate the first text message with a unit identifier, automatically send the first text message, automatically generate a second text message comprising defibrillation shock status upon delivery of the defibrillation shock, associate the second text message with the unit identifier, automatically send the second text message; and a handheld device associated with a caregiver and configured to receive the first and second text messages and associate the first and second text messages with the specific defibrillating apparatus based on the unit identifier specific to the defibrillating apparatus.

Medical equipment messaging

A medical device system for use in patient resuscitation and medical device management includes a fleet of medical devices associated with a common administrator and distributed over multiple locations. Each medical device includes a memory, a processor configured to store medical device information including device status information and clinical event information, and a communication component configured to transmit the stored medical device information via a network. The system includes one or more servers communicatively coupled to the fleet of medical devices and one or more user devices located remotely from the servers. The servers include a communication component configured to receive the medical device information from the fleet of medical devices, a memory configured to store the received medical device information, and a processor configured to provide a report comprising the device status information for the fleet of medical devices at a medical device dashboard accessible by the user devices.

Medical device management

A medical device for use in patient resuscitation and that is configured to communicate with one or more management servers includes a memory, a processor communicably coupled to the memory and configured to store device status information including device-readiness information from a medical device self-test, and store clinical event information observed by the medical device during a use of the medical device during a clinical event, the clinical event information including CPR performance data, and a communication component communicably coupled to the processor and configured to wirelessly transmit the device status information and the clinical event information to the one or more management servers, wherein the medical device includes an external defibrillator, an automated external defibrillator, or a compression assistance device.

A management server is configured to receive device-readiness information, device performance information, and/or clinical event information from a medical device. The management server facilitates providing a graphical user interface (GUI) that enables a user to view the received information. The management server may also enable configuration updates and software updates to be provided to the medical device from a remote location.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include vehicle safety monitoring, and more particularly monitoring a condition of an operator of a vehicle. According to some embodiments, the present disclosure includes a system for alerting the operator and/or a remote server/user when the operator's driving time violates a pre-determined maximum threshold. According to other embodiments, the present disclosure includes a system that compares an operator's driving behavior against a personalized driving model, and generates a flag based on that comparison. In some cases, this comparison can help detect when the driver is exhibiting signs of fatigue or other kinds of impairment. According to other embodiments, geographic information may be used to improve road safety systems.
