A method may include generating, based on a plurality of electrophysiology simulations such as electrical and/or electromechanical activation maps, one or more atlases including an activation time (AT) atlas and a vectorcardiogram (VCG) atlas. The atlases may be generated by applying a dimensionality reduction technique to include one or more modes of variation present in the electrophysiology simulations. The atlases may be applied to match a clinical vectorcardiogram of a patient to a simulated vectorcardiogram associated with an activation map included in the electrophysiology simulations. At least one of a diagnosis or treatment for the patient may be determined based on the activation map. Related systems and computer program products are also provided.

Atlas-based characterization of patent-specific cardiac electromechanical activation maps

A system for computational localization of fibrillation sources is provided. In some implementations, the system performs operations comprising generating a representation of electrical activation of a patient's heart and comparing, based on correlation, the generated representation against one or more stored representations of hearts to identify at least one matched representation of a heart. The operations can further comprise generating, based on the at least one matched representation, a computational model for the patient's heart, wherein the computational model includes an illustration of one or more fibrillation sources in the patient's heart. Additionally, the operations can comprise displaying, via a user interface, at least a portion of the computational model. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.

Computational localization of fibrillation sources

In alternative embodiments, provided are compositions, medical devices or products of manufacture, systems, diagnostic tools, and methods, including computer implemented methods, for predicting the response of patients with dyssynchronous heart failure (DHF) to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), comprising: measuring or determining the fraction of the LV/septum performing negative work (MNW); and measuring or determining the coefficient of variation of external work density (COVW), wherein the MNW fraction performing negative work and coefficient of variation COVW (sd/mean) correlated strongly with observed reduction in end-systolic volume after CRT. In alternative embodiments, provided are products comprising a remote communication device for remotely and operably interacting with a programmable implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) or CRT-D including a defibrillator in case defibrillation is needed, an implantable defibrillator, a dual-chamber defibrillator or a single-chamber defibrillator, or a CRT-P where there is no defibrillator but the CRT-P has a pacing system alone without the defibrillator.

Compositions, devices and methods for diagnosing heart failure and for patient-specific modeling to predict outcomes of cardiac resynchronization therapy

In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method. The method may include receiving three-dimensional image data representative of a heart; receiving electrical data representative of an electrophysiology of the heart; and generating, based on the received three-dimensional image data and the received electrical data, a computational model of the heart. Related systems and articles of manufacture may also be provided.
