A flame-resistant fabric containing staple yarns which contain non-FR cellulosic fibers, modacrylic fibers, and non-flammable fibers intimately blended together. At least a portion of the non-flammable fibers comprise an energy absorbing additive to form energy absorbing fibers. The fabric comprises less than 14 wt. % of energy absorbing fibers and the fabric has an arc resistance according to ASTM F1959/F1959M-14e1 of at least 1.33 calories per square centimeter per ounce per square yard of fabric.

Flame-resistant fabric

An arc resistant fabric containing a plurality of first yarns disposed in a first direction in the fabric and a plurality of second yarns disposed in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction forming a woven pattern. The first and second yarns contain non-FR cellulosic fibers, modacrylic fibers, and aramid fibers intimately blended together. The woven fabric has a sateen weave. The arc resistant fabric has a weight less than about 6 oz/yd, an arc thermal protective value (atpv) of least about 8.0 cal/cm, and a greater thickness than a fabric using the same yarns in a plain weave.

A woven fire-resistant fabric that contains a plurality of warp yarns in the warp direction of the woven fire-resistant fabric and a plurality of weft yarns in the weft direction of the woven fire-resistant fabric. The warp direction and weft direction are approximately perpendicular. At least a portion of the warp or weft yarns comprise a blend of solution dyed meta-aramid fibers and solution dyed para-aramid fibers. The para-aramid fibers contain a co-polymer being poly (diphenylether-co-para-phenylenediamine-terephthaloyldichloride) and the para-aramid fibers have a carbon black loading of greater than 1.0% by weight of the para-aramid fibers.

Fire-resistant textile

The present invention relates generally to a static dissipative textile having an electrically conductive surface achieved by coating the textile with an electrically conductive coating in a variety of patterns. The electrically conductive coating is comprised of a conducting agent and a binding agent, and optionally a dispersing agent and/or a thickening agent. The static dissipative textile generally comprises a fabric which may be screen printed or otherwise coated with a conductive coating on the backside of the fabric so that the conductive coating does not interfere with the appearance of the face of the fabric. The economically produced fabric exhibits relatively permanent static dissipation properties and conducts electric charge at virtually any humidity, while the conductive coating does not detrimentally affect the overall appearance or tactile properties of the fabric. Also encompassed within this invention is a method for producing a static dissipative textile having an electrically conductive surface.

Static dissipative textile

A radar camouflage fabric comprising a base fabric layer and a conductive garnish fabric layer attached to the base fabric layer. The conductive garnish fabric layer comprises a conductive polymer coating and a plurality of holes. The radar camouflage fabric has an average microwave transmission of less than 50% at 6-8 GHz and the conductive garnish fabric layer has an electrical surface resistance less than the electrical surface resistance of the base fabric layer.

The warming article contains a heating element and a sensing system. The sensing system has a first sensor element being a temperature dependent variable resistor and a second sensor element having at least two resistors in series and corresponding jumpers for one or more resistors in the second sensor element. The first sensor element is linear and flexible and the second sensor element is used to adjust the total sensor resistance to a fixed value at a particular temperature.

A detectable pull tape comprising at least one elongated conductive wire extending longitudinally in the tape, wherein each elongated conductive wire has a coating of insulation, a woven outer cover formed from nonconductive warp and nonconductive weft yarns, the warp yarns extending longitudinally in the tape and the weft yarns extending transversely in the tape and weaving over and under the warp yarns, and a set of binder yarns extending longitudinally in the tape, the binder yarns weaving with the weft yarns on at least one side of the conductive wires to lock the warp yarns and the conductive wires in position relative to each other. A method of detecting the location of conduit using a detectable pull tape is also disclosed.
