Many different types of systems are utilized and tasks are performed in a marine environment. The present invention provides various configurations of castable devices that can be operated and/or controlled for such systems or tasks. One or more castable devices can be integrated with a transducer assembly, such as a phased array, that emits sonar beams and receives sonar returns from the underwater environment. Processing circuitry may receive the sonar returns, process the sonar returns, generate an image, and transmit the image to a display.

A radar system deploys a MIMO antenna assembly containing arrays of antenna elements. The MIMO antenna assembly may be rotated by a rotational assembly. Control circuitry may be used to form one or more beams. Receiver antennae may receive reflected signals transmitted by transmitter antennae. The received signals may be processed to generate a radar image. This radar system may be used in a marine vessel.

An apparatus for providing marine information is provided including a user interface, a processor, and a memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code configured to, with the processor, cause the apparatus to establish data communication with a remote computing device, receive user interface display data from the remote computing device, determine a display mode for the user interface, generate a mirror user interface display based on the user interface display data and the display mode, and cause the mirror user interface display to be displayed on the user interface in a predetermined orientation based on the display mode to maximize utilization of space allocated to the mirror user interface display on the user interface.

Various implementations described herein are directed to a method for mitigating radar interference. The method may include receiving time domain signals from a radar device and transforming the time domain signals to time-frequency domain signals. The method may include comparing each time-frequency domain signal with one or more surrounding time-frequency domain signals to determine which of the time-frequency domain signals have interference. The method may include repairing the time-frequency domain signals having interference.

Radar interference mitigation

Various implementations described herein are directed to generating a map using radar data. In one implementation, a non-transitory computer-readable medium may have stored thereon a plurality of computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to receive radar data for a marine environment proximate to a vessel, where the radar data are received from a radar sensor disposed on or proximate to the vessel. The computer-executable instructions may further be configured to cause the computer to generate a map of one or more substantially stationary objects in the marine environment based on the radar data.

An FMCW radar system includes received signal processing arranged to apply multiple window functions in parallel to a received beat signal including at least one window function having a narrower main-lobe in its frequency response than at least one other window function and said at least one other window function having relatively higher side-lobe attenuation in its frequency response, transform the output of the multiple window functions from the time domain to the frequency domain, and combine the outputs of the transforms for further processing. Both narrow frequency resolution and thus good range discrimination, and also good side-lobe attenuation to avoid close interference are achieved.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of computer-executable instructions which, when executed by a computer, cause the computer to: receive a user input at a remote computer communicably coupled to a host computer over a network; and display one or more residue indicators on a screen of the remote computer indicating receipt of the user input by the remote computer. The one or more residue indicators are displayed for a period of time approximately equal to a system latency time. The computer-executable instructions are further configured to cause the computer to receive output data from the host computer based on the user input; and display the output data on the screen of the remote computer.
