Implementations disclosed describe an integrated circuit (IC) having a plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits that include a finite state machine (FSM) logic circuit and further include an interface to receive an input signal. In a first IC configuration, with the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits having a first configuration setting, the IC may process the input signal through the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits to generate a first output value based on the input signal. Responsive to the FSM logic circuit processing the first output value, the IC may reconfigure the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits into a second IC configuration having a second configuration setting.

Ultra-low power adaptively reconfigurable system

Implementations disclosed describe a programmable analog subsystem (PASS) having a plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits. The PASS may be coupled to an input/output device to receive an input signal and to an interface to communicate data with a central processing unit. In a first PASS configuration, with the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits having a first configuration setting, the PASS may process the input signal through the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits to generate a first output value based on the input signal. Responsive to the first output value, the PASS may reconfigure the plurality of reconfigurable analog circuits into a second PASS configuration having a second configuration setting, such that the second configuration setting is different than the first configuration setting.

A technique for improving capacitive sensing accuracy. Concurrent activations of multiple capacitance sensors within an array of capacitance sensors are sensed. One of the concurrent activations of the multiple capacitance sensors is accepted as a user activation. Remaining ones of the concurrent activations of the multiple capacitance sensors are rejected based on their physical location within the array of capacitance sensors relative to the one of the concurrent activations of the multiple capacitance sensors accepted as the user activation.

Position and usage based prioritization for capacitance sense interface

A technique for recognizing and rejecting false activation events related to a capacitance sense interface includes measuring a capacitance value of a capacitance sense element. The measured capacitance value is analyzed to determine a baseline capacitance value for the capacitance sensor. The capacitance sense interface monitors a rate of change of the measured capacitance values and rejects an activation of the capacitance sense element as a non-touch event when the rate of change of the measured capacitance values have a magnitude greater than a threshold level, indicative of a maximum rate of change of a touch event.

Touch detection techniques for capacitive touch sense systems

An apparatus includes a voltage monitoring device to generate a brownout indication signal in response to a change in a power supply voltage. The apparatus also includes a mode control device to control a temporal response of the voltage monitoring device to the change in the power supply voltage based, at least in part, on a voltage level of the power supply voltage.

Tunable baseline compensation scheme for touchscreen controllers

A technique for recognizing and rejecting false activation events related to a capacitance sense interface includes measuring a capacitance value of a capacitance sensor within the capacitance sense interface to generate a measured capacitance value. The measured capacitance value is analyzed to determine a baseline capacitance value for the capacitance sensor. The baseline capacitance value may be updated based at least in part upon a weighted moving average of the measured capacitance value. The measured capacitance value may also be analyzed to determine whether the capacitance sensor was activated during a startup phase and to adjust the baseline capacitance value in response to determining that the capacitance sensor was activated during the startup phase.

A capacitive sensing system () can connect groups of capacitive sensors (-to-N) to a common node () to detect change in capacitance. States of a set of capacitive sensors (-to-N) can thus be scanned faster than approaches that scan such sensors one-by-one. Faster scanning can allow for reduced power consumption in applications that only periodically scan the set of capacitive sensors (-to-N).
