A cable tie is provided with a wedge disposed within a passage extending through a head. The wedge is compressed within the passage when tension is applied to the strap. As a result, the wedge compresses the strap against an inner surface of the passage to restrain the strap.

Cable tie having a wedge locking mechanism

A cable hanger is disclosed. The cable hanger may include a first latch configured to suspend the cable hanger from a strut and a second latch configured to suspend the cable hanger from the strut. The cable hanger may also include a cable saddle to hold one or more cables. When the cable hanger is suspended by the first latch and not the second latch, a gap may be formed between the cable saddle and the strut such that the cable saddle is configured to receive the one or more cables through the gap. When the cable hanger is suspended by the second latch, the gap may be closed between the cable saddle and the strut to secure the one or more cables.

Cable suspension assembly

A cable tie includes a band that extends lengthwise from a first end to a second end. The cable tie also includes a housing, affixed near the second end, with a first opening to receive the first end of the band when the first end of the band is brought toward the housing in a loop. The housing includes: walls that enclose a space and have a stop toward the second end of the band; a first mass in the space; and a second mass placed in the space and between the first mass and the stop. When the first end is inserted into the housing, the first end passes under the first mass and the second mass and exerts a pull on the first mass toward the second mass. When the first mass is pulled toward the second mass, the second mass acts as a spring between the first mass and the stop and prevents the first mass from hitting the stop. After the first end is inserted into the housing and when the first end is being pulled out of the housing, due to a force exerted by the second mass to the first mass and the walls, the first mass squeezes the first end against the bottom of the housing and locks the first end in the housing.

Anti-slip cable tie

A tie includes a band that extends lengthwise from a first end to a second end. Anti-slip tie with wave springs

A cable tie includes a band having a first end and a second end a housing, affixed to the band near the second end, with a first opening to receive the first end of the band. The housing comprises a first mass near the first opening and one side of the housing, a stop mass near a second side of the housing, and a second mass between the first mass and the stop mass. When the first end is inserted into the housing, the second mass prevents the first mass from moving a first distance occupied by the second mass, toward the stop mass. When the first end in the housing is being pulled out of the housing, the first mass locks the first end in the housing and prevents the first end from slipping over a second distance.

A clip assembly includes a first clip comprising two opposing contact surfaces connected by a U-shaped hinge, where each of the two opposing contact surfaces has protruding flanges with teeth for engaging a surface inserted between the flanges. The clip assembly further includes a second clip comprising two opposing contact surfaces connected by a U-shaped hinge, wherein each of the two opposing contact surfaces has protruding flanges with teeth for engaging a surface inserted between the flanges. The clip assembly also includes a wire connected to the first clip at one end of the wire and to the second clip at another end of the wire.

Module edge grounding cable clips

A clamp includes a first member, a washer, a nut, a threaded bolt, a spring and a torsion spring. The first member may include side portions and have a first opening. The washer may include a second opening and at least one portion protruding in a downward direction from an upper surface of the washer. The nut may have an upper surface, a lower surface and a threaded opening. The threaded bolt may be disposed through the first opening, the second opening and the threaded opening. The spring may be located between a portion of the first member and the washer. The torsion spring may be located between the washer and the nut, where the torsion spring causes the nut to rotate when force is applied to an upper part of the first member.

Panel clamp

This invention pertains to an adjustable cover for an electrical outlet box. The cover is configured having a generally planar mounting plate with a collar surrounding an opening through this mounting plate. An extension sleeve moves within this opening and adjacent the collar. At least one fastener is located adjacent the opening and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The fastener operates a locking device that engages wedges against the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the locked position and disengages wedges against the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the unlocked position.

An electrical contact terminal for an electrical connector generally includes a main contact body, a cantilevered portion extending upwardly from one end of the body and a stiffener extending the entire length of the main contact body for providing rigidity to the main contact body.

One-piece push-in electrical contact terminal

This invention pertains to a cord connector that both seals and provides strain relief automatically upon wire insertion. The cord connector comprises a wire passageway through a pliable shell which seals around both the wire inserted through the passageway as well as the knock-out or wall opening into which the connector is secured. A more rigid skeleton supports this shell and is provided with appendages which permit the wire to pass through the passageway but which block or resist any removal of the wire from the passageway. Preferably the shell is over-molded over the skeleton for ease of manufacture.

Button style cord connector

This invention pertains to an adjustable cover for an electrical outlet box. The cover is configured having a generally planar mounting plate with a collar surrounding an opening through this mounting plate. An extension sleeve moves within this opening and adjacent the collar. At least one fastener is located adjacent the opening and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The fastener operates a locking device that engages and bias against the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the locked position and which disengage and cease biasing the extension sleeve when the fastener is in the unlocked position.

Adjustable device cover

A contact terminal is useful as an electrical disconnect. The contact terminal is generally of one-piece construction having a main body and a portion thereof cantilevered from this main body. This cantilevered portion is configured with a wire receiving apparatus so as to receive the wire therein and allow the wire to make both mechanical and electrical engagement with the contact terminal. The contact terminal is also configured with an embossment or stiffener adjacent the junction of the main body and the cantilevered portion so as to provide rigidity to the cantilevered portion when this portion is subject to a wire withdrawal force.
