A method, an apparatus and a machine-readable medium are disclosed. The method relates to operating a user interface. The method may include obtaining, using a sensor associated with a first processing apparatus, data indicative of a pose of an control element and a gesture performed by the control element; delivering the data indicative of the pose and the gesture from the first processing apparatus to a second processing apparatus, the second processing apparatus associated with a computing device for displaying a user interface, wherein the second processing apparatus is remote from the first processing apparatus; generating, based on the data indicative of the pose, a representation of the control element to be presented on the user interface; presenting the representation of the control element on the user interface; determining, using the second processing apparatus, an operation corresponding to the performed gesture; and performing the operation in respect of the user interface on the computing device.

In example implementations, a method is provided. The method may be executed by a processor. The method includes receiving a reflected image of a mirrored display. At least one optimal display region is identified in the mirrored display around a main subject in the reflected image based on additional reflected subjects in the reflected image. A content is analyzed to determine an arrangement of the content in the at least one optimal display region. The content that is displayed is arranged in the at least one optimal display region.

In an example, an augmented reality display system includes a reflective surface, a depth scanner and processing apparatus comprising an image processor and an image generation engine. The depth scanner may be to scan the reflective surface and a subject via the reflective surface to acquire depth data. The image processor may be to determine, based on the depth data, a viewpoint for an augmentation of a reflected image. The image generation engine may be to generate the augmentation for display on the reflective surface.

First, second, and third image planes are obtained from at least one image sensor. The first image plane is formed from light of a first spectral distribution. The second image plane is formed from light of a second spectral distribution. The third image plane is formed from light of a spectral distribution which substantially covers the visible spectrum. First spatial frequency components are generated from the first, second and third image planes. A second spatial frequency component is generated from the third image plane. A color transform is applied to the first spatial frequency components from the first, second, and third image planes to obtain at least first, second and third transformed first spatial frequency image planes. The at least first, second and third transformed first spatial frequency image planes are combined with the second spatial frequency component from the third image plane to form an image.

Image processing method, image capture device, and computer readable medium for forming an image based on spatial frequency components

An electronic image capture system for capturing a reduced noise image of a scene includes a detector array and an image processing apparatus. The detector array provides to the image processing apparatus data representing at least one image of a scene detected by the array. The image processing apparatus holds a noise model that characterizes the noise performance of the image capture system. Based on the image data and the noise model the image processing apparatus identifies one or more portions of the scene that are predicted to contribute disproportionately to visible noise in an image formed from said image data. Based on the identified portions of the scene and the noise model, the image processing apparatus determines an exposure pattern for the image capture system that is predicted to produce multiple exposures of the scene that are combinable to produce an image with a minimal predicted noise.

Electronic image capture with reduced noise

Multiple images are combined where the images exhibit variations in illumination between one another. The images are of the same portion of an object, and each image is represented by a set of image data. A comparative data transform is applied to each set of image data, such that the transformed comparative image data isolates and preserves first variations in the illumination between the images but suppresses second differences in illumination between the images. At least one normalization transform is determined from the transformed comparative image data sets. When applied to at least one of the image data sets, the at least one normalization transform minimizes the variation in illumination between the image data sets. Each determined normalization transform is applied to the at least one of the image data sets. The normalized sets of image data are transformed to a single image of the portion of the object.

A method for generating an image sequence using an image capture device, the method comprising using image data generated using the device and representative of an existing image of a sequence to assist a user of the device to capture one or more subsequent images for the sequence in order that said existing and the or each subsequent image are captured at substantially the same location and device orientation, and an image capture device operable to assist a user in generating an image sequence.

One embodiment of a display system includes a control module that controls a position of an adjustable neutral density filter based on a calculated filter setting and that controls modulation of a set of frame data by an image modulator based on a calculated gain setting, and an image analysis module that calculates a gain setting and a filter setting for the set of frame data and forwards the calculated gain setting and the filter setting to said control module.
