A roll stand () includes a roll (), in particular a backup roll, mounted via oil film bearings (). Each oil film bearing () has a sealing system for sealing the oil film bearing () to prevent oil leakage and a coolant ingress. The oil film bearing () is integrated into an oil-circulating lubrication system (), which is fluidically connected to the oil film bearing () via oil feed lines () and an oil discharge line (). A first sensor () is arranged in the oil feed line () and a second sensor () is arranged in the oil discharge line (). The two sensors () are designed to determine the coolant content in the relevant oil volume flow.

Roll stand

A seal () for sealing a lubricant space prevents lubricant () escaping. A rolling stand has a seal of this kind. The seal () is made at least partially from elastic material. To enable a pressing force FR, with which the bottom face () of the seal is pressed against an opposite contact surface (), for example of a roll journal (), to be variably set, the seal () has at least two cavities, which are separated from each other in the circumferential direction and which are open towards the lubricant space of the bearing.

A bearing closure device has a externally threaded ring that can be slid onto a roll journal. One stop close to the roll barrel and one stop away from the roll barrel are provided on the roll journal in order to limit the axial movement of the threaded ring. A ring nut with an internal thread is screwed onto the external thread of the threaded ring. To facilitate safe screwing on and unscrewing of the ring nut and to keep screws pressure-free during the operation of the bearing a pressure ring is mounted between the bearing and the threaded ring in an axially displaceable manner. In addition, a plurality of screws can be screwed into axial threaded bores in the threaded ring in order to press against the pressure ring in the axial direction. Finally, the ring nut can be screwed or adjusted against the pressure ring.

Bearing closure device and method for operating the same

The invention relates to a device and a method for mounting a bearingon a roll neck and for removing the bearing from the roll neck of a roll. Known devices of this type have a first and a second piston/cylinder unit. They also have a stop ring, fixed in the axial direction A at the end of the roll neckremote from the body, which acts as a stop for the inner pistonof the first piston/cylinder unit. In addition, the known devices have a nutwhich can be screwed onto an external thread of the inner piston to secure the bearingin the axial direction, in particular during a rolling operation. As an alternative to the known prior art, the present invention provides that an annular cylinderserves both as a cylinder for the first piston/cylinder unit and as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit. For its function as a cylinder for the second piston/cylinder unit, said annular cylinder is covered to a certain ex ent on its side remote from the body by an annular cylinder cover. The cylinder coverserves, together with an outer flangeof an outer piston, to axially delimit a removal pressure chamberof the second piston/cylinder unit.
