Technology is disclosed for selecting at least one people highlight, with respect to a person of interest, to be shown on one or more user devices. The user device is monitored to determine a user interest in a person of interest. A set of possible people highlights, with respect to the person of interest is determined. A determination is made as to whether any of the possible people highlights should be suppressed and not presented to the user on the user device. Any people highlights that were determined to be people highlights that should be suppressed and not presented are removed to create a remaining set of possible people highlights. At least one of the remaining set of possible people highlights are presented on the user device.

Intelligent selection and presentation of people highlights on a computing device

Aspects of systems and methods for providing contextual and event driven insights are provided. The system monitors information about the users and their conversations. Upon receiving a natural language request for information for a topic, the system utilizes a model to extract one or more topics from the request. The system utilizes the topic to query a resource for candidate users with knowledge about the topic. The system then queries a resource to identify candidate content items associated with the topic and the candidate users. Thereafter, the system refines the candidate users and the candidate content items to identify relevant users and content items that are meaningful to the user.

Contextual insight system

Techniques for customization of user interfaces in a computing system are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at a server, data representing a change signal from a first client device of a first user. The change signal indicates that the first user has modified a display layout of profile information of a person of interest viewed by the first user on the first client device. The method also includes identifying a second user having a viewing context that is sufficiently similar to the first user. The method further includes automatically applying the modified display layout of the profile information on a second client device corresponding to the identified second user upon receiving a request from the second user for viewing the profile information of the person of interest.
