A system for conveying an article along a transfer path includes at least a first and a second vortex suction unit disposed in sequence in a direction of the transfer path. A conveyor is configured to support the article relative to at least one of the suction units and a main controller is configured to separately control the vortex suction units so as to convey the article along the transfer path using the conveyor.

System for conveying an article using vortex suction units

A system for separating an article from the outer part of a stack and conveying it along a transfer path includes a stack assembly configured to receive a stack of articles. A mounting assembly including at least one vortex suction unit is disposed so as to face the stack of articles at least one of a leading edge and a trailing edge thereof. The vortex suction unit includes a conveyor configured to transport an article from the stack.

Vortex suction separator device

A device for the generation of a shingled stream of flat, flexible objects along a conveyor path, wherein successive objects develop an overlap with a length, includes a first and a second suction and conveyor device having a first and second unit, respectively, and each having at least one conveyor belt. The first and second units are each configured to generate a vacuum through a whirlwind to attract at least one of the objects and are each disposed in a casing having a suction aperture. The second suction and conveyor device is disposed downstream from the first suction and conveyor device in a direction of the conveyor path with a mutual offset corresponding to the length of the overlap and is disposed at an angle relative to the direction of the conveyor path. The first and second suction are separated by a spacing in a transversal direction.

Method and device for the generation and/or conveyance of a shingled stream of flat, flexible objects

An aeration device adapted to aerate one or more sheets of a stack of sheets includes a side blower configured to selectively provide an air stream at an outlet thereof along an airstream direction so as to impinge against at least a portion of the stack. A height detecting device is configured to detect a height of an uppermost sheet of the stack. A side blower adjustment device is configured to adjust a height of the side blower and/or an angle of the airstream direction so as to track, by the air stream, the uppermost sheet of the stack based on an input from the height detecting device.

Stack feeding aeration device and method

A device for separating sheets of a recording medium has a feed head () that, together with feed rollers (), lies on the top sheet of a horizontally arranged stack of the recording medium. The feed rollers () push the top sheet against a rising incline, so that its leading edge is lifted up and separated from the stack. The feed head () is arranged on an arm () that is designed to swivel freely on a swiveling plane that is parallel to the plane of the incline. In the feed head (), the feed rollers () can move away from the incline parallel to the plane of the stack against the spring force.

Device for separating sheets of a recording medium

A feed roller is provided for use in a feed roller assembly for intermittently feeding sheets. The feed roller has a body having a cross-section including an arc portion forming a partially cylindrical configuration. A support member is coupled to the body on at least one side of the body. A distance roller is rotatably supported by the support member relative to the body. The distance roller is spaced apart opposite the arc section parallel to the body.
