In one aspect, a method for manufacturing a glazed dental prosthesis includes at least the steps of: a) providing a dental prosthesis body; b) position sensitive application of a predetermined amount of a glaze composition to at least a part of the dental prosthesis body surface, wherein the glaze comprises a heat sensitive coloring indicator and wherein this step is performed one or more times; c) controlling the applied glaze amount at least at one position of the glazed dental prosthesis body surface by assessing the color intensity at that position; and d) subjecting the coated dental body to a heat treatment to form the glazed dental prosthesis, wherein the temperature in the heat treatment is larger or equal to the de-composition temperature of the heat sensitive color indicator, wherein at least 90 mol-% of the coloring indicator are transformed into the colorless leuko-form.

Method for manufacturing a glazed dental prosthesis

The present invention relates to a dental device adapted to be connected to a dental implant fixture, wherein the device at least comprises an scan body comprising polyether ether ketone (PEEK) adapted to be connected to the dental implant fixture and adapted to be captured by a scanning device, and a customizable gingiva body mounted to the scan body in a fixed position, wherein the gingiva body comprises a thermoplastic polymer adapted to be captured by a scanning device and at least partially comprising a polymer comprising a melting point of &#x2265;35&#xb0; C. and &#x2264;80&#xb0; C. In addition, the invention relates to a process for the production of a customized dental model and the use of a digital model obtained by the inventive process to produce customized crown models.

Customizable dental device

An inlay for connection to a dental implant, including implant connection geometry, for connecting the inlay to the implant and, coronal of the implant connection geometry, a post portion extending along a longitudinal axis, the post portion having a circular symmetric external surface and including at least one protrusion extending radially beyond said external surface, wherein the post portion further includes longitudinally extending grooves which extend radially inward of said external surface and are located directly adjacent to and on either side of the at least one protrusion such that the proximal end of said at least one protrusion is located radially inward of said external surface. The inlay is used in combination with an overlay including an accommodation cavity for housing the post portion of the inlay, the accommodation cavity having a circular symmetric cavity wall and at least one groove dimensioned such that the one or more protrusion of the inlay can be housed in the one or more groove of the overlay in order to inhibit relative rotation between the components.
