A connecting device for pipelines or hose lines with a threaded body and with a pipe-like end piece which can be inserted into a receptacle formed on the threaded body and which can be fitted therein by means of a swivel nut screwed onto the threaded body, wherein the receptacle of the threaded body has the shape of a widening cone and the circumferential surface of the end piece that engages in the receptacle has a conical design, is characterized in that the circumferential surface () of the threaded body () that bears the external thread () has, in the direction of the front end of said surface, an inclined profile directed opposite to the cone of the receptacle (), and the swivel nut () has, with its surface () bearing the internal thread (), a profile complementary thereto, and the external thread () and internal thread () are designed as tapered threads in such a way that a radial force emanating from the tapered thread with the swivel nut () screwed on is directed opposite to the radial force exerted, with the connecting device mounted, by the conical end piece () onto the receiving cone () formed in the threaded body ().

An adaptor for converting to a push-to-connect tube fitting/port a standard tube fitting/port body having a threaded portion for threaded attachment of a nut/plug, comprises a coupling nut/plug having an axially inner threaded end portion for threaded attachment to the threaded portion of the fitting/port body; a tube sealing member contained within the nut/plug for sealing to a tube having a locking surface spaced from the end of the tube; and a retention device retained in the nut/plug, which nut/plug has at an axially outer end thereof a central opening through which the tube can be inserted into the coupling nut/plug, whereby the locking surface can be engaged by the retention device to prevent axial withdrawal of the tube from the coupling nut/plug once inserted; wherein sealing and retention of the tube is effected within the confines of the coupling nut/plug and separate from and without requiring modification of the standard tube fitting/port body.

Assembly for connecting a pipe having a flanged end in fluid communication with an opposing part. The assembly includes an insert received coaxially within the pipe end and having a forward end face extending axially beyond the pipe end, a clamp ring received coaxially over the pipe end, and a flange piece which is fastenable to the opposing as received coaxially over the clamp ring. As the flange piece is fastened to the opposing part, the forward end face of the insert is urged into a sealable engagement against a confronting surface of the opposing part.

The invention relates to a connection of a metal pipe with a metal sleeve by means of cold-pressing deformation. The metal sleeve on its inside shell is provided with a pipe limit stop and the portion of the sleeve to be connected with the pipe end, along its inside shell, exhibits deformations before the pressing process. In one embodiment, the deformations of the inside shell of the metal sleeve are formed as ribs extending around the axis of the sleeve. The ribs on the inside shell of the metal sleeve are spaced at varying distance from each other. In another exemplary embodiment, the deformation of the inside shell of the sleeve has a convex curvature so that a frictionally-engaged connection is created after pressing.
