A method for creating a digital map in at least one mobile device including capturing an image sequence of an environment; detecting and classifying objects in the captured image sequence; determining object positions of the objects relative to the mobile device; establishing a section in the environment wherein the section has a predetermined size and predetermined boundaries; assigning the detected and classified objects to the determined object positions in the established section; determining a traffic lane provided in the section; transmitting object information and the object positions of the detected and classified objects, section information relating to the established section, traffic lane information and time information to the map creation device. In the map creation device, the data is received, compared, and sections are joined and merged to form a digital map. Also disclosed is an associated system.

Method and system for creating a digital map

A method for creating a lane-accurate occupancy grid map for lanes. In at least one mobile device, an environment is sensed by a camera and evaluated by an evaluating unit. The evaluating unit defines a section in the environment and determines a lane in the section. Objects in the environment or in the section are also detected and classified by the evaluating unit. The object information, section information, time information, and the lane information are transmitted to a map-creating device, which creates a lane-accurate occupancy grid map for the lane therefrom. The lane-accurate occupancy grid map can be transmitted back to the mobile device. Also disclosed is an associated system.

An apparatus and a method for connecting a mobile camera device to a vehicle-mounted display apparatus, wherein the mobile camera device is controlled both by the driver operating the mobile camera device as well as by additional information regarding the state of the vehicle, wherein the additional information is provided by vehicle sensors. The information from the driver and the vehicle is processed by an application program on the mobile camera device and the mobile camera device is controlled. An electric steering lock for a drive authorization system in a motor vehicle, including a movable locking element which, according to a first position, can be brought into locking engagement with a latched-in position on the steering shaft in the steering wheel column and, according to a second position, can be brought out of locking engagement with said position. The steering lock also has a drive for moving the locking element between the two positions, and electronics for controlling the drive. The system may have an associated second device in the form of an electronic key, an identification (ID) transmitter, a chip card or the like, with the result that, when the second device is authorized, the drive can be controlled into the respective position by the electronics. The electronics generate those signals which are used to trigger functions which can otherwise be effected by an electric ignition lock.

A method is for controlling entry, e.g., into a motor vehicle, during which a key and a base station wirelessly exchange authentication data between one another in an active or a passive communication mode. At the beginning of the authentication process, the base station transmits a call signal to the key, and the key replies to the call signal with a reply signal. The base station verifies the received reply signal of the key in the communications mode in which the reply signal was received. If the reply signal of the key was received in the active communications mode, the base station transmits a first selection instruction to the key thus causing the key to perform the subsequent communication in the active communications mode. If the reply signal of the key was received in the passive communications mode, the base station transmits a second selection instruction to the key thus causing the electronic key to perform the subsequent communication in the passive communications mode.
