A system, a method, and a computer program product for deployment of objects are disclosed. Using a deployment infrastructure of a database system, a deployment container for deployment of at least one object at runtime of an application is generated. The container includes at least one artifact for the object and a container schema indicative of at least one dependency associated with the object. At least one deployment privilege is associated based on the container schema with the artifact for the object. The artifact of the deployment container is deployed based on the associated deployment schema during runtime of the application. The container can be an isolated container and an access privilege to an object can be requested based on a synonym for deployment purposes.

A system includes generation of a definition of a table including a partitioning column of the table and a threshold size, allocation of a first memory partition for the table, determination that a size of the records of the table in the first memory partition is greater than the threshold size, and, in response to the determination that the size of the records of the table in the first memory partition is greater than the threshold size, determination that a maximum value of the partitioning column in the records of the table in the first memory partition, determination of a minimum value of the partitioning column in the records of the table in the first memory partition, generation of metadata indicating that records of the table in which the value of the partitioning column is in a range between and including the minimum value and the maximum value are stored in the first memory partition, and allocation of a second memory partition for the table.

Dynamic range partitioning

A system, a method, and a computer program product for deploying of objects are disclosed. At least one file containing a plurality of artifacts for deploying during runtime of an application is defined. Each artifact in the plurality of artifacts includes at least one object in the plurality of objects required to be deployed during runtime of the application. At least one dependency for at least one artifact in the plurality of artifacts is determined. An execution order for deployment of the plurality of artifacts is generated. The plurality of artifacts is deployed in accordance with the generated execution order.

Deployment of database objects

Technologies are disclosed for pruning a dependency graph representing source artifacts compilable by a plurality of compilers. The dependency graph can include strongly connected components represented as a directed acyclic graph. During compilation of the source artifacts, it can be discovered that some source artifacts did not need to be compiled, and associated nodes in the dependency graph can be pruned. Pruning can result in removal of nodes for source artifacts that are yet to be compiled, and compilation for source artifacts associated with such nodes in the dependency graph can be avoided.

Embodiments of the present invention include in-memory processing for data warehouse applications. In one embodiment, data records from a data warehouse application are stored in a data storage structure of an in-memory database. Data received from the data warehouse may be stored in a queue and loaded into the data storage structure according to predefined rules. Stored data records are associated with in-memory database transactions that caused the stored data record to be stored, and may further be associated with transactions that caused the stored data records to be changed. A mapping is generated to associate requests from the data warehouse application with in-memory database transactions. The data warehouse application may retrieve data in a change data format calculated on-the-fly.
