The present invention is directed to a monomer for chain growth polymerization, in particular anionic polymerization, said monomer having the general formula (EFL) wherein: Ris a C-Calkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Caryl or C-Calkenyl group. The present invention is further directed to a process for the anionic polymerization of at least one compound (EFL) as defined above, wherein said anionic polymerization is conducted in the presence of an initiator selected from the group consisting of: alkali metal organyls; alkali metal alkoxides; alkali metal thiolate; alkali metal amides; and compounds of an element of group 3a of the Periodic Table of the Elements. The process of anionic polymerization yields a homo- or co-polymer (p-EFL) having pendant lactone functional groups in its repeating units.

The present invention relates to aqueous peptide-functionalized polyurethane dispersions that can be used as adhesives, in particular for metal surfaces, such as steel surfaces. The present invention relates to a curable composition, comprising at least one benzoxazine compound, and at least one sulfonic acid ester having a cyclic structure. Curable compositions

The present invention relates to a polymerizable composition comprising at least one polymerizable benzoxazine compound and core-shell particles, where the core of the core-shell particles comprises at least one (co)polymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (A) and the shell of the core-shell particles comprises at least one crosslinked (co)polymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B), where the ethylenically unsaturated monomer (B) encompasses at least one aromatic group. Polymerizable composition

The invention relates to washing and cleaning agents for washing or cleaning colored textile surface structures, used for improving the color-fastness thereof. The aim was substantially met by adding polymers obtained by the polymerization of benzoxazine monomers to the agent.

Cationic benzoxazine (co)polymers

The invention provides an adhesive with an aqueous polymer dispersion. The aqueous polymer dispersion comprises a copolymer of a) esters of vinyl alcohol with Cto Cmonocarboxylic acids, b) &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-unsaturated Cto Ccarboxylic acids or vinyl-substituted phosphonic or sulfonic acids, c) polyunsaturated monomers, and optionally d) non-polar, copolymerizable monomers and e) copolymerizable monomers that carry polar functional groups, where the ratio of c:b ranges from 1:10 to 1:400. The adhesive has high adhesion strength, stable viscosity during high-speed automatic application process and, is optionally, remoistenable with water or becomes water-soluble. The adhesive may be advantageous used as wood adhesive, remoistenable adhesive, label adhesive, bottle adhesive, and the like.
