A safe energy supply unit () and system, for supplying an electrical device () in an explosion-proof area, transmits power from an energy source (), including a plurality of galvanically isolated individual sources, with a multiple line connection () with a plurality of galvanically isolated and individually shielded conductor pairs (). A collector device (), in an explosion-proof jacket () at an end of the multiple line (), has uncoupling devices () for the galvanically isolated conductor pairs and a combiner circuit () that combines the transmitted electric power from each line into a global power. The global power is outputted at an output () of the collector device to the electrical device. The conductor pairs allow for an increased global power, which is scalable, safely transmittable, with standard, conductor pairs. The electrical device is intrinsically safely supplied with high power with minimal effort.

A method and a testing device () function test a vibration motor () arranged in a portable gas-measuring device (). A sensor () detects a value for a motor property transmits the value to a control and analysis unit (). The detected value is compared with a desired value, a test result is generated on the basis of the comparison, and a trigger signal is generated on the basis of the test result. A terminal voltage and/or current are determined during a switching-on and/or switching-off operation of the vibration motor () at an electrical terminal () of the vibration motor () on the basis of the motor property of the vibration motor (). A process is provided for measuring a gas concentration with at least one thermal measuring element. The thermal measuring element is operated by pulses. A measured value of the gas concentration in the environment of the measuring element is obtained from the evaluation of the response of the measuring element to at least one single pulse by determining transient states of the thermal measuring element. From this the measured value of the gas concentration in the environment of the measuring element can be derived, during the imposed pulse based on electric measured variables.
