Camshaft adjuster

A camshaft unit includes a camshaft having a radial channel, a hydraulic phase setting device communicating with the radial channel for adjusting the phase length of the camshaft with respect to a crankshaft via hydraulic pressure medium and a pressure medium channel embodied as a solid cylinder head component. To transfer a pressure medium, at least one pressure medium transfer element is formed between the pressure medium channel and the radial channel. The pressure medium transfer element includes a ring channel including a ring channel opening extending in the peripheral direction of the ring channel and including a radial channel opening leading into a radial channel and opposite the ring channel opening. The pressure medium channel communicates with the radial channel via the ring channel opening and the radial channel opening.

Device for the variable adjusting of the control timing of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine

A camshaft adjuster which has a locking device by which a drive input and drive output part can be rotationally fixedly locked in a locking rotational position. The locking device has a multiplicity of engagement pairs which include one axial bar which is held in the drive input or drive output part and a bar slot which is formed in the respective other part. The engagement pairs are designed such that, during an adjustment of the drive output part in the drive direction, the bars can be placed in successive engagement with the bar slots in a relative rotational position between an end rotational position, which lags behind in the drive direction, and the locking rotational position. The bar slots prevent an adjustment of the drive output part counter to the drive direction and permit an adjustment in the drive direction until the locking rotational position is reached.

Camshaft adjuster with locking device

A switchable device for supplying at least one consumer of an internal combustion engine with pressure. The device includes the following: a cavity formed inside a camshaft; a displacement element arranged in the cavity, which element can be displaced between a first end position and a second end position, the displacement element having a pressure surface which at least partially delimits a fluid connectible accumulator chamber together with the wall of the cavity, the accumulator chamber being connectible to a pressure source in a fluid-conducting manner; an energy accumulator interacts with the displacement element, the displacement element being displaceable against the force of the energy accumulator from the first end position into the second end position under the effect of pressure applied to the accumulator chamber; a locking mechanism by which the displacement element can be locked in the second end position; a switching mechanism which can be actuated by an actuator, has a switch element that can be brought into at least two switching positions and interacts with the locking mechanism in such a manner that the locked state of the displacement element is maintained in a first switching position and is released in a second switching position.

An apparatus for variable setting of control times of gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine which has an outer and inner rotor rotatable relative to the former, with one component drive-connected to a crankshaft and the other drive-connected to a camshaft. The apparatus has a plurality of pressure medium channels, via which pressure medium is fed to or led away from the pressure chambers.
