The method relates to a press-hardened component with a tensile strength R>1600 MPa, in particular >1800 MPa, and especially >2000 MPa, wherein the component is manufactured from a steel material, wherein the steel material is a boron-manganese steel, which has a carbon content >0.30 mass %, wherein the steel material is hot rolled or hot rolled and cold rolled to a strip with a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm, wherein the strip has a thin coating of zinc or a zinc-based alloy and a coating weight of <50 g/mon each strip side of the steel strip.

Steel material and method for its manufacture

The invention relates to a method for producing a hardened, steel component with regions of different hardness and/or ductility; a blank is stamped out and either heated in some regions to a temperature &#x2265;Ac, and then transferred to a forming die, is formed, and is cooled at a speed that is greater than the critical hardening speed and thus hardened or is cold formed into the finished shape and the formed blank is heated in some regions to a temperature &#x3e;Acand then transferred to a hardening die and is hardened at a speed greater than the critical hardening speed; the steel material is adjusted in a transformation-delaying fashion so that a quench hardening through transformation of austenite into martensite takes place at a forming temperature that lies in the range from 450&#xb0; C. to 700&#xb0; C.; after the heating and before the forming, an active cooling takes place at &#x3e;15 K/s.

Method for producing hardened components with regions of different hardness and/or ductility

A method for heating a blank or a preformed steel sheet component for hot forming and/or quench hardening purposes. In at least some regions, the heating is carried out to a temperature above AC3; the heating of the blank is embodied as a rapid heating and to this end, the blank is heated in a first zone at an average heating rate of &#x3e;25 K/s up to about 600&#xb0; C. and above this temperature, is heated at an average heating rate of &#x3e;10 K/s up to a maximum of the AC3 temperature and then is transferred to a second zone in which the blank that has been preheated in the first zone is heated in at least some regions to temperatures greater than AC3, in particular &#x3e;850&#xb0; C., with the heating rate in the second zone being &#x3e;10 K/s. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.

Method for heating steel sheets and device for carrying out the method

A method for producing partially hardened steel components in which a blank composed of a hardenable sheet steel is subjected to a temperature increase and shaped into a component; the component is transferred to a tool in which the heated component is cooled and thus quench hardened; during the heating of the blank or component in order to achieve the temperature increase to a temperature required for the hardening in regions that are to have a lower hardness and/or higher ductility, cooling elements are spaced apart from the surface by a small gap; the cooling element is dimensioned so that the thermal energy acting on the region that remains ductile flows through the component into the cooling element, characterized in that in order to space the cooling element apart from the component, micro-nubs or knobs are used, which are distributed over the area of the cooling element.

The invention relates to a method for producing partially hardened steel components in which a blank is subjected to a temperature increase that is sufficient for a quench-hardening and after reaching a desired temperature, the blank is transferred to a forming tool in which the blank is quench-hardened or the blank is cold-formed and the component obtained by the cold-forming is then subjected to a temperature increase. During the heating of the blank or component, absorption masses rest against and/or are spaced with a small gap apart from regions that are intended to have a lower hardness and/or higher ductility; with regard to its expansion and thickness, its thermal conductivity, and its thermal capacity and/or with regard to its emissivity, the absorption mass is dimensioned so that the thermal energy acting on the component in the region to remain ductile flows through the component into the absorption mass.
