The midsole member can be disposed between the outsole and the upper, and can include a pocket extending from a heel region to a forefoot region. A sole plate can be disposed within the pocket. The sole plate can have a uniform thickness and can extend from the heel region into the forefoot region. A cutout portion can be formed in each of the midsole member and the outsole in an arched section of the sole structure. A cushion layer can be disposed over the sole plate and within the pocket.

The fastening elements are connected to the fastening member by a connecting element such that, when the fastening member is rotated in the first direction, the fastening elements are simultaneously rotated from a first position toward a second position. The fastening system is moveable between a loosened configuration, in which the fastening elements are in the first position and aligned within respective apertures, and a tightened configuration, in which the fastening elements are in the second position and offset with respect to respective apertures.

The upper includes an outer surface that defines a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region. The upper includes a membrane layer and a material layer. The material layer includes a knit fabric and defines a first knit zone and a second knit zone. The first knit zone has a tighter knit than the second knit zone.

The invention relates to a shoe, especially to a sports shoe, having a shoe upper. The shoe upper consists at least partially of a knitted fabric. The shoe upper has a plurality of loops for threading a lace to allow the tying of the shoe at the foot of a wearer by means of the lace. To provide an easy and efficient method for adjusting the lacing or tying of the shoe at the foot of the wearer individually, at least a part of the loops consist of a knitted fabric. The loops have the shape of a tubular body which forms a passage for the lace.

A sole structure for an article of footwear includes an upper, an outsole, a sole plate, and a midsole structure. The sole plate is adjacent to the upper, the midsole structure is adjacent to the sole plate, and the outsole is adjacent to the midsole structure. An exposed forefoot region has the bottom wall of the sole plate uncovered by the outsole or midsole structure. A forward point and a rearward point are located along the bottom wall of the sole plate. The forward point is located at the front of the forefoot region and a rearward point is located farthest away from the forward point in the heel region. The forward point and the rearward point form a main axis line. The deepest point is the point located on the exterior of the outsole in the midfoot region that is not obstructed by midsole structure or outsole that can extend to form an inclination line to the forward point with respect to the main axis line at the highest angle. That angle is between 2 and 30 degrees.
