A method, a system and a computer program are disclosed for the load-balanced allocation of computer-aided medical task flows on at least one application server of a server farm. In at least one embodiment, request conditions and load information are configured in a configuration phase. The request conditions are then recorded in a load balancing phase. In addition the load information is recorded via load calculation agents. A load balancing service can then calculate a target application server, which according to the load information determined meets all recorded request conditions.

At least one example embodiment discloses a method of processing a workitem including a plurality of tasks. The method includes transmitting requests for completion to the plurality of tasks, respectively, receiving processed data from a first task of the plurality of tasks in response to the request, the processed data being marked as intended for a second task of the plurality of tasks, changing a counter value associated with the second task, each of the plurality of tasks associated with a counter value, transmitting the processed data to the second task, and determining a state of the workitem based on the counter values.

In a method for controlling access from a first network component to at least one second network component, a unique user identification for a user of the first network component is calculated by the first network component. A request created by the first network component on the basis of an order is transmitted with the unique user identification to the second network component. A rights checking instruction is created by the second network component on the basis of the unique user identification. The rights checking instruction is transmitted by the second network component to the first network component. Access for the user to the second network component is provisioned by the second network component when a transmitted result of a check indicates that the user is authorized for access to the second network component.
