A coalescing filter element provides an integrated filter element with a three stage design with a hydrophobic or hydrophilic coalescing layer. A coalescing filter element comprises: a) At least one particulate filtration layer; b) A coalescing layer promoting coalescing of water particles, wherein the coalescing layer is downstream of the at least one particulate filtration layer relative to the flow of fluid through the element; c) An annular coalescing space downstream of the coalescing layer; d) A sump in a lower portion of the filter element in fluid communication with the annular coalescing space; and e) A hydrophobic layer downstream of the annular coalescing space, wherein fluid being cleaned by the element flows through the hydrophobic layer. The coalescing layer may be a hydrophobic or a hydrophilic coalescing layer. A filter assembly will include the coalescing filter element of the present invention.

A filter element has a pleated filter mat (). The terminal axial ends () of the mat are connected to end caps (). The mat has a main structural layer () having filtering properties and a first additional structural layer and a second additional structural layer (). The surface area of each of the additional structural layers () is smaller than the surface area of the main structural layer (). The axial ends () of one additional structural layer () is located at an axial distance from the axial ends () of the other additional structural layer () on the filter mat ().

Pleated filter element having an additional structure

A method for degassing flowable fluids, in particular liquids used for hydrogen storage, uses a device including a desorber () that can be filled with fluid to be degassed and through which the fluid can flow. A circulation pump () circulates the fluid during a degassing process in the desorber (). A vacuum pump () generates a vacuum in the desorber () during a filling step with fluid and for discharging the gas from the desorber () during the degassing step. At least one sensor () measures the pressure in the desorber () and/or a dwell time. A control unit ends the degassing process when a predefined pressure is measured by the sensor () and/or when a predefined dwell time of the fluid in the desorber () is measured.

A filter element () is designed as a replacement element and has filter medium () formed as a hollow body and extending between two closure parts in the form of end caps (). The filter medium is pleated with individual filter folds (), and includes a filter material () made of cellulose.

A filter element for fluids, in particular for hydraulic fluid, has a foldable filter casing () with at least one filter layer () extending between two end caps (). To vary in regions the thickness of the filter casing (), the height (h) of each filter fold () increases from one end cap () to the other end cap (). Alternatively, with the filter fold height (h) being maintained, the outer diameter () of the filter casing () varies in the direction of one of the end caps ().

A device for branching a fluidic partial flow off a main flow by a hydraulic pump () includes individual main chambers () sealed from each other and divided into functional groups, and operates according to the displacement principle. The chambers enable fluid from at least one main flow inlet () to be transported from an inlet or suction side to an outlet or pressure side of the hydraulic pump () and then via at least one main flow outlet. At least one independent partial chamber () is provided for the transport of the partial flow in addition to the main chambers (). The partial chamber forms part of the pressure side of the hydraulic pump () and is connected to an independent partial current outlet () separate from the main flow inlet () and the main flow outlet ().

Device for branching off a fluidic partial flow

A filter apparatus () for cleaning functional fluids, especially selected from phosphate esters, phosphate ester-based oils, mineral oils and phenols, includes a filter housing () into which a filter bed () has been introduced. The filter bed has a mixture of anionic and cationic ion exchange resins. At least one filter element (), designed as a flow guide device, enables the diversion of the fluid from a radial to an axial flow direction () or vice versa.

Positive pressure, conditioned drying gas, gravity operated, mobile, dewatering system for hydraulic, lubricating and petroleum based fluids

A filter element for filtering fluids has at least one filter unit () that is disposed concentrically around the axis of the element. The unit is supported on at least one supporting element () in the direction of the flow of the fluid. At least part of the supporting elements () is provided, at least on the side facing the filter unit (), with channels () for guiding the fluid. Longitudinal ribs () delimit the channels (), and extend along the supporting element () in the form of spiral tracks. The two free ends of each channel () emerge at opposite ends of the corresponding supporting element (). The channels () extend continuously along the supporting element, are devoid of multiple deviations in the fluid flow and only partially surround the corresponding supporting element () to form a torsional guide for the fluid flow.
