A gear assembly has a gear housing. A first component group is arranged in a first partial area within the gear housing. A method controls the operation of an electric motor. Wherein electrical voltages applied to electrical phases of the electric motor are produced and output in a controlled manner in a modulation on the basis of a rotor position of the electric motor, on the basis of a set point/actual comparison, which is performed in a control loop with a speed controller, for a speed of the electric motor and on the basis of a set point/actual comparison. A set point value at the input of the current regulator is formed by multiplying a present duty factor for the modulation by a first manipulated variable applied to the output of the speed controller. The first manipulated variable of the speed controller becomes an equivalent phase current root mean square value for the electric motor in the underlying current regulator by the multiplication by the present duty factor.

A magnetic displacement sensor, where, in order to achieve an improved measurement behavior, magnets are formed in a direction of an x-axis such that a z-component (B) of the flux density has an essentially linear characteristic curve in a region of travel and/or the magnets are formed in a direction of a y-axis such that the z-component (B) is essentially constant in a region of a transversal offset.

Magnetic displacement sensor

A sensor arrangement has a sensor element. A contact element is in electrical contact on the one hand with the sensor element and on the other with contact pins. The contact element is insert moulded with a plastic body. Affixing positions to which the contact element has been affixed, and on which the contact element is exposed respectively have one collar made of plastic material which runs around the exposed areas of the contact element. A sensor arrangement results for which the cost of manufacture is lower than that of the prior art, while the same security against unwanted electrostatic discharging or against the formation of an unwanted short circuit remains.
