The signals of the temperature sensor are transported through the conductor and the signals are inductively or capacitively coupled out of the conductor and into an evaluation unit for measuring the temperature through coupling elements.

An electric braking device for printing material processing machines includes at least one electric drive to be braked that is supplied by a power converter in motor operation and is braked by the power converter in generator operation. A control unit switches on a redundant electric braking device in the case of a failure of the power converter by using a switch. The braking device has at least two braking stages, an additional switch for actuation in at least two stages, and at least one brake resistor. In the circuit of the redundant electric braking device, a braking current is measured and the measured value is fed to a comparator for comparing the actual braking current to a desired braking current. The device for filling ink is mounted on a sled so that it can be moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the ink fountain. A sensor is fastened to the sled, and when the ink level is too low, the sensor controls the ink feed. Thereby, a precise regulation of the amount of ink added can be achieved by means of a downstream dosing device.

An electric or electronic sheet control device is provided at a sheet-transferring cylinder of a printing machine. According to the state of the art, in order to detect a leading edge of a sheet, two detecting elements respectively detect the presence of a sheet and a misaligned sheet. According to the invention, two detecting elements are disposed in such a way that they detect at least the outer areas of a leading edge of a sheet and at least one further detecting element is provided between the two detecting elements, which makes it possible to detect whether or not the leading edge of the sheet is straight.
