The present document relates to transcoding of metadata, and in particular to a method and system for transcoding metadata with reduced computational complexity. A transcoder configured to transcode an inbound bitstream comprising an inbound content frame and an associated inbound metadata frame into an outbound bitstream comprising an outbound content frame and an associated outbound metadata frame is described. The inbound content frame is indicative of a signal encoded according to a first codec system and the outbound content frame is indicative of the signal encoded according to a second codec system. The transcoder is configured to identify an inbound block of metadata from the inbound metadata frame, the inbound block of metadata associated with an inbound descriptor indicative of one or more properties of metadata comprised within the inbound block of metadata, and to generate the outbound metadata frame from the inbound metadata frame based on the inbound descriptor.

It comprises a packetiser for packetising data from a data frame into the series of segments having a first segment and a second segment, where the packetiser is operative to packetise the data of the frame so that a starting point of the more important data coincides with a starting point of the first segment and an information block adder for adding a first information block to the first segment.

The apparatus comprises a packetiser for packetising data from a data frame into the series of segments having a first segment and a second segment, where the second segment has interpretable data entities and has a data entity fragment, the data entity fragment including only a part of an interpretable data entity preceding an interpretable data entity. The apparatus comprises furthermore an information block adder for adding an information block associated with the second segment, the information block indicating an entry point into the second segment, the entry point indicating a start of the interpretable data entity following the data entity fragment.

A motor-driven compressor particularly for a refrigerator has a cylinder-and-piston unit whose piston is driven from a shaft of a rotor of an electric motor, two sound-damping chambers communicating with a cylinder of the cylinder-and-piston unit, and a bearing element mounted on a stator of the electric motor and having a portion forming a main bearing for the shaft of the rotor, a relatively small bridge-like portion overlapping only a part of a winding of the electric motor, and two legs located diametrically opposite one another and mounted on the stator of the electric motor. The sound-damping chambers may be of one piece with a cover of the cylinder and the latter may be a separate member without the cover.
