The invention comprises a granulate comprising a) a micronized silicic acid gel (A) with an average particle size from 2 to 15 microns, a specific pore volume from 0.3 to 2.0 ml/g, a specific surface (BET) from 200 to 1000 m /g, in a concentration from 5 to 60% by weight or b) a hydrated or dehydrated aluminosilicate (B) which contains sodium and/or potassium and/or calcium cations, with a particle size between 1 and 25 microns in a concentration from 5 to 75% by weight and c) an organic additive composition (C) in a concentration from 25 to 95% by weight, but at least 5% more (measured by the oil adsorption process) than that which is necessary to fill all pores of the silicic acid and the spaces between the silicic acid particles and the aluminosilicate and the aluminosilicate particles.

Granulate composition of antiblocking agents and additives for polymer production

The present invention relates to an integrated additive composition which contains anti-blocking agents and at least one organic component and is characterized in that the organic component(s) is (are) localized in a concentration of 5 to 65 wt.-%, relative to the total weight of the composition, in the pores of the anti-blocking agent, the volume of the organic component(s) not being greater, however, than the pore volume of the anti-blocking agent. The invention also describes processes for the preparation of this integrated additive composition and its use in polyolefin films and in injection molding.

Integrated additive composition, process for its preparation and its use

An anti-blocking agent comprising silicon dioxide or mixtures of silicon dioxide and zeolite is described, which is characterized in that it has a bimodal pore size distribution, the first maximum of the bimodal pore size distribution being in the pore size range &lt;5 nm and the second maximum of the bimodal pore size distribution in the pore size range &gt;6 nm. The anti-blocking agent is obtainable by micronizing a mixture comprising silicon dioxide of a certain pore size and silicon dioxide and/or zeolite having a different pore size. It can be produced together with lubricating agent as a combined anti-blocking and lubricating agent. Incorporation of the anti-blocking agent or of the combined anti-blocking agent and lubricating agent into a polymer in the form of a master batch is preferable. In addition to a better dispersion and distribution of the anti-blocking agent particles in films and the improved optical properties associated therewith, the particular advantage of the anti-blocking agent according to the invention is that the adsorption of lubricating agent is avoided or greatly reduced, so that less lubricating agent can be used than in the prior art.
