A shaft bearing with a shaft seal, in particular for water pumps in motor vehicles, arranges a special radial shaft seal inside the outer bearing ring. The seal is made up of a stable rear wall arranged at a certain distance from the water-side of the shaft seal and fixed in the outer bearing ring, a secondary lip seal adjacent to a water-side of the rear wall, a support body solidly fixed in position in the outer bearing ring and adjacent to the secondary lip seal and a primary lip seal fixed in position adjacent to the support body on the water side, i.e. on the pressure side and opposite to the support body as well as opposite the outer bearing ring. Leakage openings are also arranged in the outer bearing ring, between the water-sided shaft seal of the shaft bearing and the rear wall which is arranged at a distance therefrom.

The invention relates to a device and method for the defined longitudinal shifting of an adjusting device which rotates along in a drive shaft, along the center axis of the drive shaft. The solution according to the invention is characterized in that a working chamber () is arranged at the opposite end of the drive shaft (), into which working chamber a passage hole () arranged in the drive shaft () opens, wherein a working piston () that operatively connects to the working chamber () is arranged in such a way that, in the event of a pressure build-up in the working chamber (), the adjusting device () is variably moved against the spring force of a restoring spring () by means of a radial piston pump according to the invention that is arranged on the drive shaft ().

An apparatus for activation of a control valve is configurable as a slide, ball valve, rotary slide, poppet valve, or the like, and controls or regulates pressure-impacted media, for example, regulating the coolant volume stream of an internal combustion engine. A push piston linearly displaceable in a piston guide rigidly disposed on the flow housing, with an activation joint, is fastened onto the flow housing. A connecting rod is disposed in the activation joint. A push joint is disposed at the push piston end that lies opposite the activation joint, in which push joint the activation element of a control valve is displaceably and/or rotatably disposed. A reset spring is disposed adjacent to the push joint and acts on the push piston, in the direction of its longitudinal axis, so that the push piston always lies against the connecting rod without play, with the activation joint.

The present invention advantageously proposes an electrical coolant pump (), in particular for the coolant circuit of internal combustion engines for automotive vehicles, comprising a coolant pump motor for driving an impeller () through the intermediary of a pump shaft (), and a valve () that is integrated into the pump inlet, wherein for the first time the coolant pump motor constitutes the switching element for the valve (). Moreover the present invention for the first time specifies a method for controlling the valve (), wherein the work necessary for switching is afforded by the coolant pump motor and is transmitted to the valve (), in particular a 3/2-port directional control valve, via the shaft () of the pump motor.
