A threaded component for connecting piping employed on motor vehicles includes a thread formed thereon and at least one unthreaded, contacting surface. A first coating having a first coefficient of friction is disposed on at least a portion of the thread, and a second coating having a second coefficient of friction is disposed on at least a portion of the unthreaded, contacting surface(s) of the threaded component. The first coefficient of friction is greater than the second coefficient of friction. In an embodiment an anti-corrosion coating is provided between the coatings and the component.

Threaded component and device for connecting piping

A tube connection device for connecting motor vehicle tubes, a tube having a front element on at least one end, this front element being equipped with a frontal sealing surface. A fitting enclosing the tube is provided, which presses the frontal sealing surface against a connection surface of a connection element. At least one separate pressure element, which at least partially surrounds the tube, is provided between fitting and front element. The fitting acts on the front element through the pressure element and the sealing surface is pressed against the connection surface in this way.

Tube connection device

A screw connection device for connecting the flared ends of two pipes includes a nut, a screw and distance element which comprises a first recess or shape for accommodation of the flare at the end of a first pipe, and a second recess or shape for accommodation of the flare at the end of the other pipe. The nut and screw each accommodate one pipe end with the distance element between them with the recess at each end in sealing contact with the pipe flares. The nut and/or the pipe flare of the pipe end which in the connected state is accommodated in the nut comprise positive-fit elements, which positive-fit elements are designed such that the accommodated pipe end is secured against rotation relative to the nut.

Screw connection device for connecting the flared ends of two pipes

A reinforced, high pressure hose is disclosed for use in the transport of high pressure fluids. The hose includes a multilayered inner tube capable of prolonged exposure to fluids such as those containing hydrocarbons, and a reinforcement layer overlaying the inner tube. The reinforcement layer includes at least one reinforcement strip wrapped about the inner tube and with the edges of the strip in an overlying relationship.

In one form, the tube has a bead in the area where the plastic layer is removed and the bead is in contact with the conductive covering section.

Method for making sheathed metal tube

A multi-layer tubing composed of a first layer, a second layer and an intermediate layer interposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first layer contains a first melt-processible thermoplastic such as polyamides, thermoplastic elstomers, and mixtures such materials. The second layer contains a second melt-processible thermoplastic chemically dissimilar form the melt-processible thermoplastic employed in the first layer. The intermediate layer is made of a solidified melt-processible thermoplastic solution which contains the first melt-processible thermoplastic and the second thermoplastic such that the first thermoplastic and the second thermoplastic exist as discretely discernable components dispersed relative to one another in an essentially non-homogenous manner.

A rapid-action coupling for hoses or rigid lines with a coupling box, a plug-in nipple and a locking element. The coupling housing has a recess and an opening that extends essentially vertically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the recess. The plug-in nipple and the coupling housing are connected by introducing the nipple into the recess. The nipple is locked by introducing a locking element into a first end of an opening into engagement with the housing. The locking element includes an arm for releasing the engagement.

Rapid-action coupling for hoses or rigid lines in motor vehicles

The invention proposes a method for clamping a pipe with a hose or a pipe with the aid of a compression sleeve, in which the influence of dimensional tolerances of the components on the quality of the compressed connection is significantly reduced. In the method according to the invention, the pressing force between a compression tool and the compression sleeve as well as the advancing distance of the compression tool are determined and evaluated.

Processes and arrangements provide a rigid line for a brake, fuel or hydraulic system in motor vehicles, whose synthetic cladding layer is reinforced with fibers to thereby increase the strength and the resistance to wear and tear of the synthetic cladding layer. Moreover, by the use of electrically conductive carbon fibers, electrostatic charging of the rigid line can also be prevented.

Rigid line for a brake, fuel or hydraulic system in motor vehicles

The invention relates to a hose fitting, more specifically, for a brake arrangement in a motor vehicle, for connecting, in a compression-proof manner, a multi-layer hose to a metallic end piece. At least part of one free end of the end piece engages with the inside of the hose and features at least one bulge, with a metallic pressed sleeve encompassing the hose, overlapping the bulge and also featuring, lateral to the bulge, respective first pressed sections. The crux of the invention is based on the fact that elastic and electrically nonconducting surface layers are arranged on the hose and end piece, upon which are arranged, in each case, a second pressed section in a liquid-tight manner. The invention is associated with the advantage that a hose fitting is sealed with respect to electrolyte penetration from the outside, and that, moreover, local cell formation, with resultant corrosion of the hose fitting, is prevented.

Hose fitting

An electromagnetically actuated valve having an adjustable abutment is disclosed. The valve comprises a valve housing and at least one annularly-shaped solenoid coil, which is arranged in the valve housing and which, on its interior peripheral side, surrounds a magnet armature. The armature is capable of axially reciprocal motion with respect to the solenoid coil. The magnet armature is elastically braced in the area of its front end by a spring element that in turn transmits force against an abutment that forms a component of the valve housing. At its other end, the armature is provided with a sealing member that can be forcibly engaged against a valve seat, as needed. The abutment is adjustable relative to the valve housing along the axis of reciprocal axial motion of the magnet armature to enable adjustments to the prestressing of the spring element.

Electromagnetically actuated valve

An electromagnetically actuated valve comprising an annular-shaped solenoid coil arranged in a housing and surrounding an axially reciprocal magnet armature of metallic material is disclosed. The magnet armature is provided on a front end with an elastomeric sealing member facing a valve seat made of elastomeric material. The magnet armature and the sealing member are joined together via form locking.

An apparatus for the temporary storage and controlled feeding of volatile fuel components from the free space of a fuel tank to the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is set forth. The apparatus includes a venting line which connects the free space of the fuel tank to the atmosphere. Along this line is interposed a storage chamber containing an absorption element having at least one line which connects the storage chamber to the intake manifold and which can be sealed by an electromagnetically actuated valve. Valve includes a valve seat and a nozzle. The nozzle tapers away from the valve seat at one end to a cross section of reduced area, and then conically widens to a maximum value at the opposite end of the nozzle.
