A gearing arrangement for driving at least one working unit, especially a cutter arrangement, has a support unit () with a connection mechanism () coupling to a tractor (). A gearbox housing () is pivotably supported around a pivoting axis () in the support unit (). The gearbox housing () can be directly or indirectly connected to the working unit (). An input shaft () is pivotably supported within the gearbox housing () around a rotational axis (). A connection mechanism () on the input shaft connects with a drive shaft (). Gearing arrangement

A gear drive has a drive housing () with a driveshaft () exiting the drive housing () through a bore (). The driveshaftis rotatably supported in the drive housing () around an axis of rotation X&#x2014;X. A connecting shaft () is arranged inside the drive housing (). The connecting shaft () is connected in a rotationally fast way to a drive gear (). A torque limiting coupling () is arranged inside the drive housing (). The input end of the torque limiting coupling () is connected to the driveshaft (). The output end of the torque limiting coupling () is connected to the connecting shaft (). The driveshaft () and the connecting shaft () are supported relative to one another by a radial bearing (). The gear drive ensures that the driveshaft () and the connecting shaft () can more easily accommodate bending moments and transverse forces.

A switchable claw coupling has two rotatably arranged coupling parts (2, 3). One of said coupling parts (3) is axially movable. To reduce the loads on the claws (20, 21) during the coupling operation, the coupling part 3 has a cam (22). The cam (22) at its end face is able to slide on a supporting face 28 of the other coupling part (2). A recess (23), in the supporting face (28), is engaged by the cam (22) to enable engagement within only a limited range.

Switchable claw coupling

An angle drive, especially for agricultural implements, has a housing with two housing portions (1, 2). The two housing portions (1, 2) abut one another at a right angle. The angle drive is provided with a first bevel gear (11) arranged in the first housing portion. A second bevel gear (27) is arranged in the second housing portion. The two bevel gears (11, 27) are each supported by rolling contact bearings (16, 17, 33). The housing interior is sealed by seals (20, 20') between the first bevel gear (11) and the first housing portion (1) and between the second bevel gear (27) and the second housing portion (2). The two housing portions (1, 2) which concentrate on merely covering the outlines of the two bevel gears (11, 27) and provide an aperture (25) in the region of abutment between the two housing portions (1, 2), in which the two sets of teeth (14, 18) engage one another, produce a compact unit with a small enclosed volume. Thus, a little space is required and the required amount of lubricating oil is also small.

Angle drive

A drive assembly has two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) for driving an agricultural implement (2) via a tractor power take-off shaft. The assembly has a pivot bearing (11) which effects a pivotable connection between the two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10). To improve the bearing conditions between the two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) the two housings (22, 23) of the bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) are provided with bearing sleeves (24, 25). The bearing sleeves (24, 25), in the fitted condition, project into the interior (34) of a housing (23), to reduce the axial distance between the two connecting journals (13, 16) associated with the bevel gears (41, 43) which engage the bevel gears (49, 57) arranged on the connecting shaft (67), thus improving the force receiving conditions.

Assembly with two bevel gear angle drives

A device which attaches an agricultural implement (2) to a tractor (1), and in addition, establishes a driving connection between the power take-off shaft of the tractor and the drive of the implement has, for this purpose, a drive unit (8) which includes two bevel gear angle drives (9, 10) arranged one above the other. One of the drives (9, 10) is firmly connected to the drawbar of the implement with the other one connectable to the lower steering arm of the tractor by an attaching stirrup (12). The attaching system allows the tractor and implement to pivot relative to one another around a vertical axis (25), a transverse axis (26) and a longitudinal axis (27). To achieve pivotability relative to the drive unit (8) around the longitudinal axis (27), the attaching stirrup (12) is supported by a sleeve (47) on a flange housing (39) which is arranged coaxially relative to the first connecting journal (20) of the drive unit (39) thereby achieving an improvement in the transmission of towing forces.

Device for attaching an agricultural implement to a tractor

A drive unit 1 for driving agricultural implements or effecting the drive in agricultural implements, has an input shaft 4 and at least one output shaft 10, 10a and a torque measuring device associated with at least one of the shafts 4 or 10, 10a. The shafts 4, 10, 10a are rotatably held in two spaced bearings 5, 6, 13, 14. To determine shaft twisting as representative of the shaft torque, strain gauges 32, 32a are provided and associated with the first shaft 4. The gauges 32, 32a are attached to the outer face 19 of the first shaft 4 between its bearings 5, 6. An electronic measuring unit 31 is arranged and protected in a transverse bore 26 of the shaft 4. Slip rings, which serve to transmit values and energy, are arranged in a separate, sealed receiving space 33 outside the drive housing filled with lubricant, towards the connecting journal 7 of the first shaft 4. By arranging the electronic measuring unit 31 in a transverse bore 26 it is ensured that even at higher speeds, no rotational out-balance occurs. Furthermore, the measuring unit 31 is protected.

A device for connecting an agricultural implement to a tractor, towing it and driving it, via a power take-off shaft, has a double drive (8) which includes two angle drives (15, 16) which are arranged one above the other and which are pivotable relative to one another via a bearing around a first axis. The double drive (8) is associated with a holding bracket (9) and with a support (36) supported thereon via springs. The support (36) has a bearing journal via which is connected to a transverse bar (7) so as to be pivotable around an axis. The transverse bar (7) serves to connect the implement to the catching hook of the lower steering arms (3) of the tractor (1). These permit a pivot movement around the axis. The support (36) ensures improved conditions when accommodating forces in the case of impacts.

Device for connecting an agricultural implement to a tractor

An assembly consisting of two bevel gear angular drives which are pivotably connected to each other via a pivot bearing, the bearing system including two bevel roller bearings which are tensioned relative to each other between the two sleeves. The shaft carrying the two bevel gears is also supported via bevel roller bearings in the sleeves. In this way it is possible to obtain an assembly which is suitable for implements which transmit high tensile forces to the assembly, without the bearing system and the rotary function of the two drives being adversely affected.
