On a device with at least first and second parts moveable relative to each other, comprising a sliding bearing located on the first part, comprising a sliding element and an adjusting element within in a very small gap between the two parts moveable relative to each other, and for inexpensive manufacture and simple assembly, that the first part displays a recess, located outside the area in which the adjusting element is supported on the first part, in which a projection located on the sliding element is mounted in positive fashion in the direction of actuation of the displacement of the adjusting element.

Device with at least two parts moving relative to each other

An electromotive linear drive, in particular for adjusting parts of an item of furniture, having a multi-part housing which is produced from plastic in an injection-molding process and in which are mounted at least one drive train and a block-shaped spindle nut which engages at least partially around the housing and/or at least partially into the housing. The housing is formed from at least two housing parts and has sliding tracks for the spindle nut, wherein at least the thread flights of the spindle are arranged outside the housing. In one preferred embodiment, the housing is arranged below the region of the spindle in relation to the assembled position of the electromotive linear drive. The housing parts forming the housing are of identical or similar, preferably shell-shaped, design in cross section.

A reclining element includes a pivotal backrest, a headrest, which is coupled in an articulated manner thereto, and optionally a footrest. These pivotal parts can be displaced by an electromotive adjusting device. The reclining element is so configured as to eliminate the need for the link lever fastened to the pivot shaft, whereby the forces required for adjusting can be transmitted by an appropriate kinematic system to the footrest or backrest. In order to raise the backrest, an articulated lever () is used, which is provided in the form of a toggle lever and which is connected to the adjusting element. A lever () of the articulated lever () is coupled to the adjusting element (). The other lever () is coupled to the backrest () so that when the adjusting element travels out of the end position, the joint () executes a guided linear movement and a rotational movement that leads to a blocking of the articulated lever () in a particular blocking position. A preferred embodiment of the reclining element is a slatted frame.

Reclining element

An electric-motor drive system having a drive motor and a drive train comprising a worm gear, designed such that the overall dimensions are comparatively small and the pivot angle of rotation of the component cooperating with the output member of the drive system is comparatively large. The worm gear is the output member of the drive train. The worm gear has a central shaped hole for positive-fit connection to a rotatable input member of an adjustable device. The worm gear has a further gear step, preferably a worm drive, on the output side.

Electric-motor-driven actuator

An electromotive linear drive includes one or more drive motors and a corresponding number of torque-reducing transmissions and corresponding driven spindles and a casing. The casing is comprised of two casing parts, whereby the abutting surfaces of the casing parts are sealed by a sealing element or a plurality of sealing elements. Connecting terminals for mechanical and/or electrical components are provided on the exterior of the casing parts.

An electromotive adjustment assembly, includes at least two spindles, each spindle carrying a spindle nut, with both spindle nuts secured against executing a rotation movement. A motor unit is positioned between the spindles and coupled in driving relationship with the spindles for rotating the spindles, whereby the spindles are secured against displacement in longitudinal direction. Connected, directly or indirectly, to the spindle nuts are flexible pull strands which are trained over deflection rollers for attachment with their free ends to profiled lifting members which are secured at an angle to a structure to be adjusted.

Electromotive adjustment assembly

A linear drive, useful in particular as drive for a piece of furniture, includes at least one spindle, and a drive mechanism, having a drive motor and a reduction gear in driving relationship with the drive motor, for rotatably driving the spindle. The drive mechanism is provided with a drive element having an input member and an output member, with the input member selectively adjustable with respect to the output member.

Linear drive

A electromotive drive for a furniture item, in particular lifting device; includes a housing, a drive motor mounted to the housing, a reduction gear unit interacting with the motor, a rotating spindle driven by the reduction gear unit and carrying a spindle nut which is secured against executing a rotational movement so as to move in a linear direction. A flanged tube is mounted to the housing and accommodates a lifting tube which is mounted to the spindle nut so as to be movable between retracted and extended positions when the spindle rotates and the nut is moved in a linear direction. At least one gas spring is arranged within the flanged tube for assisting the lifting tube during a movement of the lifting tube to the extended position, with the gas spring having a piston rod which is movable in retracted and extended positions in synchronism with the lifting tube.

Electromotive drive for a furniture item

An electromotive drive mechanism for a body of furniture, includes a worm drive which is activated by a motor and includes a worm received in the casing and a worm wheel in engagement with the worm. Received in the casing is a support body which is closely fitted around the worm and includes a receiving opening for engagement by the worm wheel.

Electromotive drive mechanism for a body of furniture

An electromotive linear drive mechanism, in particular a drive mechanism for a body of furniture, includes an electric motor having an output journal and a rotating spindle which has mounted thereon a nut, secured against rotation. The nut is operatively connected to the body of furniture, for movement in longitudinal direction of the spindle when the spindle rotates. A worm drive includes a worm which rotates about an axis of rotation and is in engagement with the output journal of the electric motor. Connecting the worm drive to the spindle are at least two worm gears which are in engagement with the worm and arranged in symmetric disposition with respect to the rotation axis of the worm. Each worm gear which is connected to a cylindrical gear is in operative engagement with the respective cylindrical gear meshing with the other worm gear.

Electromotive linear drive mechanism

An electromotoric operating mechanism, such as a single drive or dual drive, for height adjustment of an article of furniture, especially for furniture items useful in the field of hospitals and/or nursing, includes a drive having an output member in the form of a worm wheel, a spindle mechanism including an adjusting spindle in driving relationship with the drive, and a spindle nut mounted on the adjusting spindle and interacting with a link member in fixed rotative engagement with a shaft of an adjustable piece of furniture, and a clutch mechanism releasably coupling the output member with the adjusting spindle. The clutch mechanism includes a guide member, which is fixedly secured on the adjusting spindle, and a clutch gear, with the worm wheel rotatably mounted on the guide member. The clutch gear is arranged on the guide member in fixed rotative engagement but axially displaceable relative thereto. Normally, the clutch wheel is in engagement with the worm wheel, but can be moved out of engagement with the worm wheel for disengagement of the driving connection between the spindle mechanism and the drive.
