A vehicle seat assembly, comprising a first seat component and a second seat component, is provided. The second seat component is adjustable relative to the first seat component&#x2014;preferably about a pivot axis&#x2014;and a resetting device is provided, by means of which a resetting force is exerted on the second seat component in direction of a neutral position, when the second seat component is adjusted with respect to the neutral position. The resetting device at least includes the following:&#x2014;a spring element in which a portion is rotated about an axis of rotation, when the second seat component is adjusted with respect to its neutral position, and the spring element thereby is tensioned, so that via the tensioned spring element at least a part of the resetting force is provided, and&#x2014;a force transmission element.

An adjustable mechanism for a motor vehicle is used to adjust an adjustable element in a motor vehicle, especially a seating part. The mechanism includes a spindle nut comprising an axis, the spindle nut co-operating with a thread spindle and comprising external toothing on the external surface thereof which is in contact with an additional drive element. The external toothing of the spindle nut is formed by recesses in the external surface of the spindle nut which are inwardly turned in a radial manner, the teeth depths thereof diminishing in the direction of at least one axial end of the spindle nut.

A longitudinal guide for vehicle seats, comprising a lower rail, an upper rail supported thereon to be displaceable in a longitudinal direction, wherein each upper rail and lower rail has an L-shaped region, if viewed in profile, formed by a base leg and an L-leg projecting from the base leg substantially perpendicularly, and two end regions respectively connected to the L-shaped region. A manual adjustment of a back support on a vehicle seat includes a cable pulley which is selectively rotatable in a drive direction or in a driven direction oriented counter to the drive direction, and a tensile device associated with the cable pulley, which may be rolled up onto the cable pulley by rotating the cable pulley in the drive direction. The tensile device is able to be coupled to a back support of a vehicle seat such that the rotation of the cable pulley in the drive direction and/or driven direction affects an adjustment of the back support. A pretensioning acts on the cable pulley -which produces a torque of the cable pulley in the driven direction.

A memory device, for a rail longitudinal guide for a motor vehicle seat, comprising two longitudinal guide rails displaceable towards each other, for the setting of the longitudinal seat position, a first memory module, which may be displaced along one of the two guide rails to set a memory position, a locking device for locking a set memory position, a second memory module, arranged on the second of the guide rails and a stop which, on reaching a relative position of the two guide rail corresponding to one of the memory positions, engages with a counter stop on the first memory module. The second memory module comprises a base body made from plastic, by which the latter is fixed to the second guide rail.
