A cosmetic composition is disclosed comprising a synthetic optical brightener and a naturally-derived optical brightener. Both brightener classes absorb and emit light at different wavelengths and possess in combination a superior effect. The combination enhances color brilliance on keratin fibers under daylight and artificial light conditions.

The present invention is on a cosmetic composition for improving color brilliance and wash fastness of artificially-colored keratin fibers. The effect is achieved by the combination of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid esters, pyrrolidone carboxylic acid and/or its salts, and amodimethicone microemulsion. A process for treating keratin fibers, a use of the composition and well as a kit-of-parts is disclosed.

Cosmetic composition for enhancing properties of pre-colored keratin fibers

The present invention is directed to a composition comprising a combination of surfactants for cleansing keratin fibers, a method for cleansing, use of the composition for cleansing, and kit-of-parts thereof. It has been found that the combination of two anionic surfactants, an amphoteric surfactant, and a diol compound provide a rich foam and superior color retention on pre-colored hair.
