A system for a vehicle for controlling/adjusting the wheel behaviour of at least one vehicle wheel comprises at least one unit for determining the wheel vertical force of at least two vehicle wheels which are mounted on the same axle of the vehicle. The system is adapted to determine for each of the at least two vehicle wheels at least one parameter indicative of the wheel behaviour. The system is further adapted to determine, on the basis of the wheel vertical forces determined by the unit for determining the wheel vertical force for the at least two vehicle wheels, at least the vehicle wheel with the higher wheel vertical force. The system is further adapted to set the at least one parameter indicative of the wheel behaviour determined for the at least one vehicle wheel with the higher wheel vertical force as the target value for the vehicle wheel with a lower wheel vertical force.

A hydraulic motor vehicle brake system is specified with a device for generating a hydraulic fluid pressure. The device comprises an electrically controllable actuator and a piston in a pressure chamber, which is movable by means of the electrically controllable actuator for changing a hydraulic fluid pressure in the pressure chamber. The brake system also comprises a wheel brake pressure control device with a reservoir for the storage of hydraulic fluid discharged from a motor vehicle wheel brake in a pressure reduction phase, wherein the reservoir is fluidically coupled to the pressure chamber. A control system of the brake system is designed to output a control signal for the actuator in the event of a detected loss of function of the control device and in the event of a detected critical filling volume of the reservoir with hydraulic fluid during operation of the control device, which causes the piston to be driven back for pressure reduction in the pressure chamber with suction of hydraulic fluid from the reservoir.

A method and device for a vehicle having wheels which are each assigned a sensor for generating wheel signals. The unit determines whether a wheel is affected by a failure of the corresponding wheel signal. The unit acquires wheel signals which are assigned to the wheels, and for a wheel affected by a wheel signal failure, the corresponding wheel signal is acquired in the form of a substitute signal. The unit calculates a target brake pressure for a wheel at which an increase in brake pressure is necessary. The increase in brake pressure takes place in accordance with the wheel signal which is obtained for the wheel and in accordance with the determination as to whether the wheel is affected by a wheel signal failure. The unit further determines a slip threshold for an anti-lock brake control operation applied to the wheel affected by the wheel signal failure.

An electrohydraulic vehicle brake system includes an electromechanical actuator for actuating at least one hydraulic piston to build hydraulic pressure at wheel brakes. The brake system provides a set of electrically activatable valve arrangements having a first valve arrangement between a cylinder accommodating the at least one hydraulic piston and each of the wheel brakes, and at least one second valve arrangement between a receptacle device for hydraulic fluid and at least one of the wheel brakes. The second valve arrangement is provided in parallel with the first valve arrangement which is associated with the same wheel brake as the second valve arrangement. A control device or system activates the first valve arrangements and the electromechanical actuator, in order to build up a hydraulic pressure at at least one of the wheel brakes and via the opened first valve arrangement associated with that wheel brake and to reduce a built-up hydraulic pressure via the opened first valve arrangement. The activation of the first valve arrangements can take place in a time multiplex operation.

An electrohydraulic brake system includes an electromechanical actuator for actuating at least one hydraulic piston to provide a hydraulic pressure at one or more of a plurality of wheel brakes. The brake system further includes electrically activatable valve arrangements having a first valve arrangement between a cylinder accommodating the at least one hydraulic piston and each of the plurality of wheel brakes, and at least one second valve arrangement. The second valve arrangement is provided between a receptacle device for hydraulic fluid and at least one of the wheel brakes. The second valve arrangement is provided in parallel with the first valve arrangement associated with the same wheel brake as the second valve arrangement. The brake system also includes a control device or system that opens one of the first valve arrangements and the second valve arrangement connected in parallel therewith, in order to release a hydraulic pressure built up in the cylinder.
