Examples herein provide a method. The method includes preconditioning a printing apparatus, including: increasing a temperature of an inkjet printhead in a print zone in the printing apparatus to a first temperature higher than or equal to about a steady state printhead temperature; and increasing a temperature of the print zone such that a portion of a print medium disposed over a portion of a platen in the print zone is at a second temperature higher than or equal to about a steady state print zone temperature. The method further includes disposing, using the printhead, an ink at the steady state printhead temperature onto the portion of the print medium to form an image thereon.

Printing apparatuses

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for use in a printing device, comprising outputting a test chart comprising a plurality of printed regions at respective ink densities, receiving an indication of a selected ink density, and determining one or more resources of the printing device according to the selected ink density to control one or more ink limits and a color separation of the printing device.

Method and apparatus for print control

A method and apparatus for processing image data is described. An example of a method involves applying a first mask to image data corresponding to an overlap zone of a first print region, the first mask representing a first mask pattern and applying a second mask to image data corresponding to the overlap zone of a second print region, the second mask representing a second mask pattern. Each of the first and second mask patterns define a periodic variation in a dimension corresponding to the first direction. First and second mask patterns for at least a second image plane are spatially separated in the dimension corresponding to the first direction in relation to first and second patterns of a first image plane.
