A light trap for ultraviolet radiation for curing ink on a printing substrate contains a shaped body with more than two shape elements succeeding one another. The shaped body has a side facing the printing substrate and embodied to have step elements in a stepped arrangement as shape elements. Every step element contains a pair formed of a step surface and a riser, the step surfaces and the risers having different inclinations relative to the direction of transport. The step surfaces have a step length L and the riser has a step height H, and is characterized in that the following applies: L>2H. This provides an improved UV screen by use of the light trap while simultaneously simplifying the process of cleaning the light trap. This is preferably used in the process of printing and curing UV inks.

A device for adjusting a printing head includes a step-by-step switching mechanism, an actuator for shifting the step-by-step switching mechanism, and a locking disk supported for rotation. A first shifting tongue is provided for incrementally rotating the locking disk in a first direction of rotation. The first shifting tongue has two elongated holes for guidance purposes, one of which has a lateral recess. It is thus possible to adjust printing heads with a high degree of accuracy while saving time and costs. The device is preferably implemented in industrial inkjet printing.

A device for guiding sheets in a sheet-fed rotary printing press or diecutter includes a sheet-guiding plate with openings and a cover plate disposed parallel thereto and being displaceable by an applied operating pressure. A logistics system for a sheet-processing machine, in particular a printing press, permits pallets and sheet stacks on transport boards to be displaced along transport paths. Storage spaces are provided for the intermediate storage of sheet stacks and a corner transfer device is provided for the transverse displacement of pallets and sheet stacks. The corner transfer device has two height-adjustable conveying devices disposed at right angles with respect to one another. The transport boards cover the transport path at ground level and the corner transfer device is configured in such a way that all of the transport boards are conveyed at a common height level, for example the height level of the machine hall floor.

An apparatus for aligning sheets in a processing machine includes translationally movable stops or front lays which can be driven through the use of a coupler mechanism or individually actuable electric motors.

A sheet brake for braking sheets made from a printing material contains circulating brake elements and at least one sheet support that is disposed between the brake elements and forms a blowing device. The sheet support contains a first nozzle array having air nozzles and a second nozzle array having air nozzles.
