An apparatus for the production of a fibrous web, especially a tissue or hygienic web, the fibrous web runs through a press nip which is formed by a press unit and a backing roll and the web is subsequently run through a creping nip which is formed by the backing roll and a creping roll around which a textured belt is looped. Moreover, the creping roll is equipped with its own drive. The creping roll can be pressed against the backing roll through a pivoted lever whose pivoting axis which is parallel with the axes of the creping roll and is positioned such that the connecting line between the pivoting axis and the creping roll axis forms an angle of approximately 90&#xb0; with the connecting line between the creping roll axis and the backing roll axis, when viewed in a vertical plane relative to these axes.

Machine to produce a fibrous web

A flexible press cover which has an additional strengthening element in at least one of its two end regions. As a result, in the end region, the tensile strength and the tensile rigidity in the circumferential direction are increased with respect to that hitherto known in such a way that it is no longer necessary to clamp the press cover end region in between two components. Instead, the press cover according to the present invention is suitable to be fixed to the outer circumferential surface of a rotatable supporting element belonging to the cover carrying disk without the aid of an outer ring, a clamping band, clamping filament or the like. In the most beneficial case, the arrangement for fixing the press cover to the aforementioned supporting element is completely free of any kind of fixing elements which would be associated with the cover outer surface.

A self-adjusting deflection controlled roll comprises a rotating roll jacket, a carrier passing axially through the roll jacket and held rotationally fixedly at its end in racks and at least one supporting member arranged at the carrier and exerting a support force on the inner side of the roll jacket in a pressing plane, with at least one axial end of the roll jacket or an axial continuation associated with it being rotationally mounted by at least one bearing on a non-rotating axial bearing sleeve of a bearing housing secured against rotation extending into the region between the roll jacket or the axial continuation and the carrier, said bearing housing being freely movable relative to the carrier substantially in the pressing plane perpendicular to the roll axis. The roll jacket is radially supported via the axial bearing sleeve of a respective bearing housing transversely to the pressing force plane and is axially fixed at the carrier at an axial end via guide means provided radially between the bearing sleeve of the relevant bearing housing and the carrier and permitting both a tilting moving and a movement of the bearing sleeve relative to the carrier substantially in the pressing plane perpendicular to the roll axis.

At least one press roll is mounted on at least one roll end by means of a floating bearing, whose bearing rings, arranged inside the bearing housing, can be displaced relative to each other in the direction of the roll axis.

Press device and process for treating a material web. The press device includes a first shoe press and a second shoe press. The first and the second shoe press are successively arranged in a web run direction. A transfer suction roll is positioned between the first shoe press and the second shoe press and is adapted to at least partially suction the material web and to guide the material web in a closed draw through at least one of the first and the second shoe presses. The process may includes at least partially suctioning the material web with the transfer suction roll, and guiding the material web in a closed draw through at least one of the first and the second shoe presses.

Press arrangement and process for treating a fibrous material web that includes two shoe press rolls and a counter-roll, associated with the two shoe press rolls, positioned to form a first and a second press nip with the two shoe press rolls. The first and the second press nip are elongated in a web travel direction. The press arrangement also includes a plurality of felts, such that two of the plurality of felts are guided through at least the first press nip. The process includes transferring the web onto a pick-up felt, in which the pick-up felt is one of the two felts guided through at least the first press nip, and dewatering the web between the two felts in the first elongated press nip.

A shoe press roll for dewatering a fibrous web in machines for at least one of producing and processing a fibrous web is provided, including a flexible roll jacket having a profiled surface for water absorption. At least one press element is provided, having a concave pressing surface, arranged against a cylindrical mating roll to form a concavely bent press nip for pressing said flexible roll jacket. A continuous dewatering belt is positioned at least between said shoe press roll and the fibrous web for absorbing pressed-out water, being guided off of said roll jacket after the press nip. A water collection device is arranged for collecting and removing water spinoff from said roll jacket said water collection device being positioned between said shoe press roll and said dewatering belt, and as close as possible behind the press nip, relative to a belt travel direction. A press arrangement and process for treatment of a fibrous material web. The press arrangement includes a press shoe unit, a press suction roll, at least one first press nip elongated in a web travel direction, the first press nip being formed between the shoe press unit and the press suction roll, the press suction roll being arranged as a web pick-up roll, at least one second press nip elongated in the web travel direction and positioned downstream of the first press nip relative to the web travel direction, at least first and second felts being arranged to be guided through the at least one first press nip, the first felt being arranged to loop around the press suction roll to pick-up the web from a screen belt whereby the web is transferred from the screen belt to the first felt, wherein the web is guided to the first press nip by the first felt and the web is guided through the first press nip between the first and second felts. The process provides for treating the web in an arrangement that includes first and second felts, a web belt, a web pick-up roll, a shoe press unit, a center suction roll, an additional mating roll, a dryer screen, and a dryer cylinder, and includes guiding the web and the first felt to the web pick-up roll, the web being supported on the web belt, engaging the web with the second felt, feeding the web, the first felt, and the second felt through a first press nip which is elongated in a web travel direction, the first press nip being formed by the shoe press unit and the web pick-up roll, disengaging the first felt from the web, wrapping the web and the second felt around a portion of the center suction roll disposed between the first and second press nips, feeding the web and the second felt through a second press nip which is elongated in the web travel direction, the second press nip being formed by the shoe press unit and the additional mating roll, disengaging the second felt from the web, and transferring the web to the dryer screen for delivering the web to the dryer cylinder.

A press arrangement and method for the treatment of a fibrous material web (,) which includes a lower shoe press roll (,), with which two upper press rolls (,) are associated, with which the shoe press roll (,) forms in each case a press nip (S,or S,) elongated in the direction of travel of the web (L). The first elongated press nip (S,) viewed in the direction of travel of the web (L) is double felted.

Press arrangement and method for treating a fibrous web

Device for handling a material web that includes a suction roll having a perforated jacket, and a porous support belt guided over the suction roll between a take-on region and a lift-off region. A surface of the porous support belt is adapted to guide the material web and the surface adapted to guide the material web is arranged away from a surface of the suction roll. The suction roll includes suction zones adjacent to an inner side of the perforated jacket, such that a first suction zone, arranged in the take-on region, is coupled to a vacuum source, and a second suction zone, arranged in the take-off region, is coupled to the vacuum source through the first suction zone. Device for handling a material web

Dewatering device and process of a machine for at least one of production and processing of a material web, as well as a glazing device an process. The dewatering device includes a circulating flexible continuous belt and an opposite surface. The circulating flexible continuous belt and the opposite surface are arranged to form a nip elongated in a web travel direction, and at least one screen is adapted to guide the material web through the nip. A saddle, which is arranged to support the circulating flexible continuous belt, is segmented in the web travel direction into saddle segments connected to each other. The saddle segments are at least partially separately pressurized. The dewatering process includes guiding the material web through the nip, and at least partially separately pressurizing the saddle segments against the opposite surface. The glazing device includes a heated roller composed of a saddle roller and a mating roller, and the heated roller and the mating roller are arranged to form a nip elongated in a web travel direction. The saddle roller may include a flexible roller jacket supported by a saddle which is segmented in the web travel direction into saddle segments connected to each other. The saddle segments are at least partially separately pressurized. The glazing process includes guiding the material web through the nip, and at least partially separately pressurizing the saddle segments against the mating roller.
