Method for preparing and transmitting SMS messages in a mobile radio network, wherein a mobile radio user sends with his mobile device a USSD message comprising a service code for identifying a SMS sending service as well as an identification of the recipient and a text field. This USSD message is forwarded to a USSD handler. A gateway connected with this USSD handler converts said USSD message into at least one SMS message. Said SMS message is forwarded over a short message center to said recipient.

Method and system for preparing and transmitting SMS messages in a mobile radio network

Proposed is a transaction method between a customer and one of a plurality of service terminals ( ) which supply selectable products and/or services, subject to costs, on location, as well as a sales system for carrying out the transaction method, whereby, by means of a portable mobile device ( ) of the customer, an order record ( ), comprising a service terminal identification ( ) of the service terminal ( ), is transmitted via a mobile radio network ( ) to a service center ( ), the service center ( ) checking the credit worthiness of the customer from whom the order record was transmitted, and, in the case of positive credit worthiness, transmitting a credit record comprising a credit value via a communication network ( &prime;) to the service terminal ( ) identified through the service terminal identification ( ), and whereby, on the basis of the received credit record, the service terminal ( ) releases the selection of a product and/or of a service and supplies the desired product or the desired service corresponding to the selection made by the customer, and a supply confirmation comprising a cost amount for the supplied product or the supplied service is transmitted to the service center ( ) which debits the cost amount to an account of the customer.

Transaction method and selling system

A method for loading or reloading a SIM card ( ) for a mobile device ( ). The SIM card ( ) has an electronic chip with a storage device ( ). In the storage device ( ) a monetary sum ( ) is stored, and decreases as the mobile telephone is used. For loading or reloading the monetary sum, a prepayable value card ( ) is purchased. The value card ( ) has a code field ( ) covered by a removable opaque layer ( ). Upon removal of the layer ( ), a code ( ) becomes visible. The holder of the SIM card and the value card calls a service number using a communication apparatus ( ). The caller is thereby connected to a data base ( ) in which all codes assigned to value cards ( ) and the sum of money associated with each code are stored. The caller is prompted to enter the code ( ) on the calling communication apparatus. The code ( ) entered is compared with the codes stored in the data base ( ). If the entered code ( ) is found in the data base, a short message containing the value of the monetary sum ( ) to be loaded or reloaded is prepared and temporarily stored in a short message service center ( ). The monetary sum ( ) and the code ( ) are marked in the data base ( ) as used or cancelled. The next time the SIM card ( ) is inserted in any mobile telephone ( ) and a connection is established with the communication network ( ), the SIM card ( ) to be loaded or reloaded is loaded or reloaded with the temporarily stored monetary amount ( ) via of the prepared short message ( ).

Method for crediting or recrediting a data card with a given amount

A subscriber identification SIM card for a mobile telephone comprises an advice of charge counter ACM indicating the amount corresponding to the communications carried out with the card. An EEPROM memory in the card includes a file ACMmax, indicating the maximum value of the advice of charge counter, and at least one file EF,indicating at least one telephone number free of charge. The invention compares the amount indicated by the advice of charge counter with the maximum amount of the advice of charge counter and blocks calls according to the result supplied. However, the invention does not block calls intended for one or more predetermined numbers stored on the card. It is thus possible to call, for example, an emergency number or the number of a server to reload the card, in the case of a prepayment card, even after the credit on the card has been used up.
