A belt retractor having a belt shaft which is mounted rotatably on a frame fastenably fixed to a vehicle and on which belt shaft a seat belt can be wound, and having an electric motor for driving the belt shaft to perform a rotational movement, and having a shiftable planetary transmission which transmits the rotational movement from the electric motor to the belt shaft, having a planet carrier, and having a plurality of externally toothed planet gears which are mounted rotatably on the planet carrier and which, in order to produce a driving rotational connection, engage by means of their toothings in a toothing of a drive gear, which is driven by the electric motor, and, for the production of a driving rotational connection, said planet gears engage in a toothing of an output gear which is in driving rotational connection with the belt shaft.

The invention is a belt tightening drive for tightening a seat belt that can be wound about a winding shaft, comprising a spindle shaft driven by a drive unit and a worm drive with a worm supported in a torque-proof fashion on the spindle shaft and a driven wheel, engaged therewith and supported in a torque-proof fashion on the winding shaft. According to the invention it is provided that the worm comprises a first toothed section with a first toothed geometry, wherein the first position of the worm the first toothed section engages the driven wheel, the worm comprises at least a first toothed section and following a second toothed section with a second toothed geometry, with the first and second toothed geometries being embodied differently.

The invention relates to a belt tightening drive for tightening a safety belt which can be wound up around a winding shaft, said belt tightening drive comprising an electric motor, a spindle shaft and a output wheel coupled with the winding shaft and a worm gear, by way of which the output wheel is driven by the spindle shaft, wherein for the formation of the worm gear an external helical gear of the output wheel is combing with a worm drive supported torsionally rigid on the spindle shaft and it is provided according to the invention that the external gear of the output wheel comprises at least two gear sections, wherein a first gear section comprises a gear with constant geometry and a following second gear section is designed with an increasing root circle diameter and/or increasing tip circle diameter and/or increasing tooth thickness.

Belt tensioner drive

A reversible seat belt tensioner includes an electric motor (), a belt shaft () drivable in the belt winding direction by the electric motor () via a drive wheel (), and a drive shaft () transmitting the rotational movement of the electric motor () to the drive wheel (). The drive shaft () is connected to at least one of the drive wheel () and the electric motor () via a helical gear unit. The use of a helical gear unit provides the advantage that the rotational axes of the meshing components can be arranged at angles other than 90 degrees with respect to each other because the components in the helical gear units only come into punctiform contact.

A safety belt retractor, especially in vehicles, is provided that includes a belt shaft as a carrier for a belt that is wound thereon and a vehicle sensitive and/or belt sensitive controllable block device for the belt shaft. The block device includes a force limiting device, effective in the event of a block event, the force limiting device having a viscous medium-filled housing with at least one fixedly positioned contour and a counter-contour that is rotatably displaceable in response to a block event, so that the relative movement between the contour and the counter-contour forces the viscous medium between the surfaces arranged for this purpose. A safety belt retractor is provided as a safety system in motor vehicles. The belt shaft is mounted in a U-shaped housing and serves as a carrier for a belt strap wound thereon. A rotation dampener is provided as a force limiting element and acts upon the belt shaft. The rotation dampener comprises: a cylindrical housing filled with a highly viscous medium, at least one apertured disk fixedly disposed in the cylindrical housing, and at least one disk piston disposed in the cylindrical housing parallel to the apertured disk, wherein the disk piston is fixedly connected to the belt shaft, the rotation of which is to be dampened, and wherein the disk piston is provided with a radially extending piston wing that rotates upon rotation of the disk piston.
