A device for adjusting color video signals, and in particular the color video signals produced by a film analyzer comprises a matrix for processing the color video signals to regulate the components of three basic colors into color video signals passing through the matrix. A controller controls the matrix with respect to hues which correspond to the color video signals, respectively.

Device for adjusting color video signals

A method and an arrangement for determining the position of a tape-like medium are proposed. The method provides for counting pulses which are supplied to the arrangement for determining the position to be counted, blocked or cancelled depending on the respective transport state. To this end, it is established whether the transport direction has been constant for a defined amount of time or over a defined distance. The transport direction determines whether the counter is incremented or decremented. In addition, counting pulses which rapidly follow one another are blocked in order to avoid undesirable double triggering. In order to avoid losing blocked counting pulses in an undesirable manner, the latter are stored and are applied to the counter, or discarded, depending on the transport state before and after blocking.

Method and arrangement for determining the position of a tape-like medium

A detection apparatus for detecting perforation holes of a cinematographic film comprises at least one light source, at least one scanning sensor, which is arranged so as to receive light emitted by the light source after interaction with a perforation zone of the film, and an evaluation circuit for detecting, by means of an output signal of the scanning sensor, when an edge of a perforation hole passes through between light source and scanning sensor. The light source emits light which is polarized with a first polarization and the scanning sensor is sensitive selectively to light with a second polarization.

Film scanner and detection apparatus therefor

A method is proposed which enables high-resolution raster images to be represented on lower-resolution displays. The method according to the invention selects support points in lines and columns of the original image, which have a smallest possible variation of their distances and approximate the set scaling at least in ranges. Consequently, rational scaling ratios can also be achieved in an advantageous manner. In order to represent fine details of the original image in the scaled image as well, the adjacent pixels of the support points are also incorporated into the calculation of the pixels that are output. Furthermore, a circuit for scaling a raster image in real time is proposed. Moreover, a film scanner having a scaling device in accordance with the method according to the invention is proposed.

Method and circuit for scaling raster images

The invention relates to a method for the correction of video signals which are produced by pixel-by-pixel reading of picture cells from an optoelectronic sensor via two or more channels which have different transmission characteristics. In this case, the video signal is supplied to a processing circuit and is converted to digital pixel values. Estimated values for pixel values of another transmission channel are calculated from the digital pixel values of one transmission channel, and the estimated values and pixel values of one transmission channel are used to derive correction values, which correct differences between the estimated values and the pixel values of the relevant transmission channel, if necessary.

Method for the correction of video signals

In order to avoid rounding errors as a result of restricted accuracy of the processing unit in a video processing arrangement, a comparison is carried out between processed image data and unprocessed image data. For this purpose, the unprocessed image data is buffer-stored in a memory and is supplied together with the processed image data to a comparator, which compares the difference between the processed image data and the unprocessed image data with a threshold value. Either the processed image data or the unprocessed image data is produced at the output of the arrangement, by means of a multiplexer, as a function of the result of the comparison. A rounding element between the processing unit and the multiplexer rounds the processed image data before it is emitted, if the processing stage has not itself carried out a rounding process.

Reduction of rounding errors during the processing of digital image data

A circuit is proposed which has a memory to which input data can be written at different write addresses with a first clock rate and from which output data can be read at different read addresses with a second clock rate. The memory can be fed a write reset pulse that resets the write address to an initial value. In addition, the memory can be fed a read reset pulse by means of which the data are output in a fixed temporal relationship. Finally, the circuit proposed is provided with switching means in order to derive the read reset pulse from the write reset pulse. This ensures that the two reset pulses cannot occur simultaneously.

In a method for the correction of video signals whose processing is distributed between a plurality of segments having different transfer characteristics, it is provided that, from values in each case of a predetermined number of pixels before the boundary of two segments, the value of at least one pixel lying after the boundary is estimated in each case, and that correction values are derived from differences between the at least one estimated value and the actual value of the at least one pixel of the following segment that lies after the boundary.

The invention relates to a device for compensating for fluctuations in the light which is emitted by a light source and propogates along a light path. The device has a first light-sensitive sensor. The sensor detects the intensity of the light at a first location along the light path in a spatially resolved manner and generates electrical image signals. Furthermore, a second light-sensitive sensor is provided, which detects the intensity of the light at a second location along the light path and generates electrical output signals.
