A method in a cache node () of a network comprises monitoring a secure data stream being received at the cache node from a server node, and detecting from one or more data chunks of the secure data stream that the secure data stream contains a data object that has been previously received and cached at the cache node, and sending a notification signal to the server node that the data object has been previously cached. The method may further comprise receiving one or more encryption header portions (e.g. TLS headers) from the server node, inserting a previously cached data chunk corresponding to each of the one or more encryption header portions into the data stream, and sending the data stream to a client device.

Apparatus and method for caching data

An electronic device is disclosed for use with a touch-sensitive display. The electronic device includes a processor that displays indicia on the touch-sensitive display that can be touch selected by a user, and defines a size and location of a plurality of selection zones on the touch-sensitive display that are each associated with different ones of the indicia. The processor identifies a first one of the selection zones that has been selected by the user on the touch-sensitive display, and outputs a first one of the indicia that is associated with the first selection zone. The processor changes the size of a second one of the selection zones in response to it being associated with a second one of the indicia that is more likely to be selected next following selection of the first selection zone associated with the first indicia than at least another one of the selection zones. Related methods of operating an electronic device are disclosed.

Also disclosed is a method () in a user equipment device, the method for accessing data services when roaming. The method comprises accessing, from a network node, an identification of services available to a user of the user equipment device when roaming (), selecting, from the identification of services, services for presentation to the user (), presenting the selected services to the user (), and on request of a presented service by the user, initiating a connection to a provider of the requested service (). Also disclosed are a computer program product for carrying out the above methods and a network node () and user equipment device () configured to carry out the above methods.

Delivery of data services to a roaming network user

The disclosure provides a method in a vehicle and an apparatus for a vehicle for transferring playback of media content between a mobile device and the vehicle. The method comprises detecting the playback of the media content on the mobile device and retrieving the media content played back on the mobile device. Then, the retrieved media content is played back at the vehicle in synchronization with the playback of the media content on the mobile device. Next, a first message is sent to the mobile device instructing the mobile device to pause its playback of the media content. The disclosure provides a method and a mobile device for transferring playback of media content between the mobile device and a vehicle.

A method executable in a network node, capable of managing transmission of data transmitted over a unicast channel in a communication network from a plurality of M2M devices located in a broadcast service area is provided. Upon receiving a request to transmit collected data over the communication network via a unicast channel from a M2M device located in the first broadcast service area, the network node determines when to allow transmission of the collected data for M2M devices located in the first broadcast service area, on the basis of the network load of the communication network. The result is transmitted to the M2M devices located in the first broadcast service area, instructing at least one of these M2M devices when to transmit collected data over the unicast channel.

Method for managing transmissions of data from a plurality of machine-to-machine devices

A method, in a user equipment device, for managing use of applications installed on the user equipment device is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a request from a user to launch an application, checking whether the user equipment device is roaming, and, if the user equipment device is roaming, consulting a user roaming profile and preventing launch of the application if the user roaming profile indicates that launch of the application is not permitted while roaming. Methods and apparatus are described that provide a mechanism for transferring and/or synchronizing playback of media content from one media device to another in a seamless fashion. A media devicemay be arranged to detect playback of media content from another media device. The media devicecaptures a portion of the media content being played back and identifies the captured media content and content provider. The media device downloads or streams the identified media content from the content provider, while also synchronizing playback of the identified/downloaded/streamed media content on the media devicewith the playback of the media content on the other device. The media content may be embedded with a digital watermark for identification of the media content and the content provider. A machine-to-machine platformmay assist in identifying the media content and content providerfrom the captured media content.

A Music Playlist is received from a mobile device and is sent to Application in the M2M Network Node. A Proxy Unit is connectable to a communication network and is arranged to enable IP Communication with a Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit receives and stores in a session data base a first IP address a device identifier and a unique ID of the Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit then receives from a Machine to Machine application a message destined to the Machine to Machine Unit and comprising the unique ID of the Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit finds the associated device identifier and the first IP address in the session data base, using the received unique ID. If the Proxy Unit detects no active session for the Machine to Machine Unit, it uses the device identifier to send a wake up message to the Machine to Machine Unit for enabling IP communication.
