A gate safety system for preventing collisions between a vehicle and a gate is provided, the system having a gate module with a vehicle module, a gate antenna unit and a gate processing unit. The gate processing unit is adapted for defining a first gate warning zone and for determining whether a vehicle module is present within the first gate warning zone. The vehicle module includes a vehicle antenna unit and a vehicle processing unit adapted for defining at least one first vehicle warning zone for determining whether the gate module is present within the vehicle warning zone. A lock safety system, two methods for operating the gate safety system and the lock safety system, and two computer programs are also provided.

Gate safety system for preventing collisions between a vehicle and a gate

A method is provided for safeguarding a logistics area. The method includes monitoring a first control zone; detecting whether a first vehicle module is present in the control zone; and setting a safety status indicator in a first vehicle processing unit of the first vehicle module in response to detecting the first vehicle module in the control zone. The method also includes maintaining the safety status indicator in the first vehicle processing unit, even when the first vehicle module is leaving the control zone. Additional steps include monitoring an enabling zone; detecting whether the first vehicle module is present in the enabling zone, and deleting the first safety status indicator when it is detected that the first vehicle module is present in the enabling zone.

Process for securing a logistics area

A vehicle safety device for warning persons in traffic has an antenna unit having at least a first antenna, a second antenna, and a third antenna. The antennas are mounted spaced apart from each other in a predetermined spatial relationship at predetermined positions on a vehicle to be safe-guarded. Each antenna generates an electromagnetic field. The vehicle safety device also has a control unit in electrical communication with the antenna unit, which defines a warning zone for the vehicle and determines whether a warning module matched to the antenna unit is located within the warning zone.

An approach warning system includes at least one marking module and a warning module. The at least one marking module comprises a marking module transmission unit configured to emit electromagnetic signals, and a motion detector configured to detect a motion. The at least one marking module is configured to emit presence signals as the electromagnetic signals when a motion is detected. The warning module comprises a reception unit configured to receive the electromagnetic signals emitted by the at least one marking module, and an output device configured to emit an approach warning. The warning module is configured to emit the approach warning via the output device dependent on a reception of the presence signals emitted by the at least one marking module.
