A method for controlling at least one radial blower in a cooling system. The radial blower includes a housing in which a shaft is rotationally mounted, which receives at least one impeller wheel of a compressor at one end, which is secured to the housing. The housing includes at least one radial bearing and at least one axial bearing via which the shaft is rotationally mounted in the housing. The radial blower also includes a motor which is driven by a rotor and a stator and which drives the shaft. By means of at least one laser Doppler vibrometer assigned to the shaft, operating points of the shaft are detected and forwarded to a controller for determining an operating status of the radial blower.

A radial blower, in particular for a cooling machine, comprising a housing in which a shaft is rotationally mounted, which receives at least one impeller wheel of a compressor at one end, which is secured to the housing, comprising at least one radial bearing and at least one axial bearing via which the shaft is rotationally mounted in the housing, and comprising a motor driven by a rotor and a stator and provided between the first and the second radial bearing, wherein at least one channel having a pressure connection for a pressure medium to be supplied is provided in the housing, which channel feeds into a rotor space formed between the shaft and the housing and extending from the impeller wheel to the radial bearing or axial bearing, which is provided next to the impeller wheel.

Radial blower

A cooling arrangement for cooling laser gas for a gas laser includes a first cooling circuit having a first cooling assembly and a first heat exchanger for cooling laser gas which flows from a fan to a resonator of the gas laser, and a second cooling circuit which is independent of the first and which has a second cooling assembly and a second heat exchanger for cooling laser gas which flows from the resonator to the fan. The second cooling circuit has at least one additional heat exchanger for additionally cooling the laser gas which flows from the fan to the resonator.

Cooling laser gas

A fan for circulating laser gas in a gas laser, the fan having a shaft which is supported by at least one radial bearing and at least one axial gas bearing. The axial gas bearing has at least two rotating bearing faces, one or both being structured with a groove pattern, and at least two stationary bearing faces that are arranged at both sides of a plate.
