A personal hygiene device has a handle and a treatment head pivotably connected with the handle. Applying a treatment force against the treatment head causes a pivoting of the treatment head relative to the handle. A sensor, such as, e.g., a Hall sensor, fixedly secured with respect to one of the handle and the treatment head, measures a measurement variable. A sensor cooperation unit defines or influences the measurement variable in dependence on the relative position of the sensor and the sensor cooperation unit, such e.g., as a sensor permanent magnet, fixedly secured relative to one of the handle and the treatment head. A spring unit defines a rest position of the treatment head when no treatment force is applied. The spring unit has a first spring constant in the treatment direction and a second spring constant in a lateral direction, the second spring constant being at least about two times higher than the first spring constant.

Personal hygiene device

A hair removal apparatus is described having a trimmer (), whereby the trimmer () has at least two cutting parts () each having rows of teeth drivable individually relative to one another, and having at least one wet shaver unit (), which has at least one sharp-edged razor blade (). The wet shaver unit () is arranged on a carrying element () that is guided movably on the housing (). The carrying element is adjustable by the user in at least two different positions through a corresponding switching movement. The first position is a storage position of the wet shaver unit and the second position allows simultaneous removal of hair by the trimmer () which is leading in the direction of use (P) and the trailing wet shaver unit ().

Hair removal apparatus

The invention is concerned with a trimmer comb () that comprises a base sheet () that has a toothed front side, the toothed front side comprising a side-by-side arrangement of guard teeth () and narrow teeth (), wherein the tips (') of the guard teeth () are wider in the longitudinal extension direction (y) of the trimmer comb than the tips (&#x2032;) of the narrow teeth () and the geometry of the narrow teeth () is reduced when compared to the geometry of the guard teeth (). These two different trimmer comb teeth geometries serve to press down skin and to avoid injuries by hooking of trimmer comb teeth into skin pores or channels, while a high cutting efficiency is ensured because of the reduced geometry of the narrow teeth ultimately allowing a reduced average spacing distance between the trimmer teeth for a given width of the guard teeth tips. The invention is also concerned with a hair trimmer comprising such a trimmer comb and a hair removal device comprising such a hair trimmer.

The invention relates to a hair removal device such as for example an electric shaver or a wet shaver, comprising a main device element () which accounts for the major portion of the overall weight, and a separate element () which can be coupled therewith and which comprises for example a wet-shave blade cartridge (). The separate element () is connected to the main device element () via a coupling (). Said coupling () is designed to open under the effect of forces that exceed a minimum force. When the hair removal device () is dropped, the separate element () is not damaged despite the comparatively greater weight of the hair removal device.

Hair removal device

The invention relates to a hair removal apparatus () having a base body () and a slide (), which is mounted thereon to be movable (displaceably). At least one wet shaver unit () comprising a razor blade, such as a blade cartridge for wet shaving, is mounted on the slide. Due to the mobility of the slide (), this wet shaver unit () is protected from damage in the event of impact of the hair removal apparatus, e.g., in a fall to the floor. Certain target positions of the slide () can be secured with a slip clutch, such that they become unlocked on exceeding a minimum force that is acting and thereby release a movement of the slide.

A lift mechanism for a cleaning device of a dry shaving apparatus includes a base plate with guides and a chassis plate mounting the chassis and arranged for displacement relative to the base plate. Coiled-strip springs arranged on the guides spring-load the chassis plate against the base plate. On actuation of the lift mechanism the coiled-strip springs are untensioned by coiling up along the guides, thereby lifting the chassis plate. The coiled-strip springs reduce the load on the construction and ensure an almost noiseless lift mechanism.

Shaver cleaning apparatus

A shaving apparatus cleaning device includes a reservoir for holding a supply of a cleaning fluid and a cleaning receptacle for receiving the shaving apparatus. The reservoir has a discharge orifice through which the cleaning fluid is allowed to flow from the reservoir to the cleaning receptacle. The reservoir and the cleaning receptacle are designed so that the level of the cleaning fluid in the reservoir is higher than a pre-determined minimum level of the cleaning fluid in the cleaning receptacle, and a flow of fluid generated by the difference between levels and flowing from the reservoir to the cleaning receptacle is controllable in dependence upon the actual fluid level in the cleaning receptacle.

A cleaning device for a shaving apparatus, includes a container for receiving the shaving apparatus. The container is at least partially filled with a cleaning fluid. The cleaning device of the invention also includes a device to limit the immersion depth of the shaving apparatus in the container dependent on the level of the cleaning fluid.

A cleaning device for a shaving apparatus includes a chassis supporting a cleaning container for receiving the shaving head region of the shaving apparatus. A detent device is movably suspended on the chassis and is biased by means of a resilient element toward a first end position in which the detent device fixedly secures a replaceable reservoir holding a supply of cleaning liquid to the chassis in a positive engagement relationship therewith.

A cleaning device for a shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus includes a reservoir to store a cleaning fluid, a receptacle adapted to receive the shaving head and the cleaning fluid, the receptacle being configured to direct the cleaning fluid toward the shaving head, a return conduit extending from the receptacle to the reservoir to convey the cleaning fluid from the receptacle into reservoir; and a venting device attached to the reservoir to provide aeration and deaeration of the reservoir.

Cleaning device for a shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus

A shaving head cleaner includes a housing defining a receptacle adapted to receive a shaving head of the dry shaving apparatus. A contact member extends from the housing, and is adapted to accommodate an end of the dry shaving apparatus remote from the shaving head. A pushbutton is positioned near an end of the contact member, and the pushbutton has electrical connectors configured to be moved by the pushbutton for establishing an electrical connection between the dry shaving apparatus and the shaving head cleaner. A tolerance compensating device is arranged between the electrical connectors and the pushbutton.
