The present invention relates to electrically conductive and electrically weldable anti-corrosion compositions for coating metal surfaces, a process for coating metal surfaces with electrically conductive organic coatings, as well as the correspondingly coated and optionally painted metal strips, sheets or parts, the coatings comprising: an organic binder, an anti-corrosion pigment, at least one conductive pigment with a density of at least 3 g/cmand optionally at least one conductive pigment with a density of less than 3 g/cm.

Radiation-curable, electrically conductive coating mixture

The present invention relates to a method for the bonded adhesion, or connection, of a plurality of wire-shaped individual elements into an arrangement, particularly into a wire band, wherein the adjacent individual elements have predetermined breaking points allowing for the mechanical removal of the individual elements. The bonded adhesion is brought about according to the invention utilizing a two-layer system on the basis of acrylate resins consisting of an inner coating (A) and of an outer coating (B), wherein the inner coating (A) has a lower hardness, than the outer coating. In a further aspect the invention also comprises arranging a plurality of wire-shaped individual elements through such a bonded connection, particularly a wire band.

The invention relates to a metal sheet, or a component made of a metallic material, comprising a layer system on the surface with at least the following layers: a) a conversion layer, comprising no more than 1 mg chromium per m, b) a layer of a cross-linked organic polymer system with a thickness in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 &#x3bc;m, comprising, in relation to the total mass of said layer, 2 to 25 wt. % of an electrically conductive pigment having a specific weight of 3 g/cmmaximum, however no more than 5 wt. % of the electrically conductive pigment having a specific weight of more than 3 g/m. Conductive, organic coatings with low layer thickness and good plasticity

A process for coating metals, selected from aluminum and its alloys, zinc and its alloys, and galvanized or alloy-galvanized steel, in which the metal is given a weather-resistant protective coating, wherein the metal is cleaned if necessary, and thereafter subjected to a conversion treatment; optionally flushed with water and/or dried; brought into contact with a coating agent which comprises aliphatic cross-linking urethane resins, cross-linking agents, anti-corrosion pigments, one or more organic solvents and/or water and, if desired, other active or auxiliary substances; and then cured.

Conductive organic coatings

Conductive and weldable anti-corrosive compositions based on (blocked) polyurethane resins, epoxy resins, together with curing agents containing nitrogen and conductive extenders are suitable for coating metal surfaces, in particular sheet steel in the coil coating process. These compositions are distinguished by a low stoving temperature, a distinct reduction in white rust on galvanized sheet steel in the salt spray test and by an improvement in the adhesion of the organic coating on the metallic substrate. These coatings furthermore also achieve adequate corrosion protection with a thin chromium coating, preferably also in Cr-free pretreatment processes. Sheet metal coated in this manner may be spot welded using any conventional processes.
