In various embodiments, a method for processing a Single-Edge Nibble Transmission Signal is provided. The method includes determining of at least one drop in a signal level of the time-variable Single-Edge Nibble Transmission Signal and at least one next rise in the signal level after the drop in the signal level, determining a time interval between the drop and the next rise in the signal level, and determining a quality of the Single-Edge Nibble Transmission Signal by using the time interval.

Disclosed herein are techniques including a method for data acquisition in a system having a plurality of data acquisition units and a controller coupled to the plurality of data acquisition units by a pair of wires. The method includes providing a resistive element controllable to change resistance between the pair of wires, distributing a control load across a plurality of signal frames, and broadcasting the plurality of signal frames. Method of data acquisition and apparatus for data acquisition

Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to a method. In the method, a duration of a first synchronization pulse is measured. A fixed, predetermined number of ticks are equally spaced at a first time interval over the first sync pulse, regardless of the duration of the first synchronization pulse. A duration of a first data pulse is then measured by periodically incrementing a tick count value at the first time interval during the entire duration of the first data pulse. The tick count value at an end of the first data pulse is then correlated to a first digital value encoded on the first data pulse.

A program-controlled unit is described. The program-controlled unit has a central processing unit (CPU), peripheral units that are connected to the CPU via an internal bus, and debug resources that can be used to trace and influence operations taking place in the program-controlled unit. The program-controlled unit that is described is characterized in that the debug resources and the peripheral units, which output data from the program-controlled unit and/or can receive and pass on data which is supplied to the program-controlled unit from the outside, are connected to one another via a second internal bus. The data that is to be transmitted between the debug resources and devices provided outside the program-controlled unit are transmitted via the second internal bus and individual, a plurality of, or all the peripheral units connected thereto.
