The valve body () is provided by a foil element (), wherein the foil element () has an opening () for the fluid, wherein the foil element () is rotatable relative to the modulator body () to modulate the flow of the fluid by adjusting an overlap between the opening () of the valve body () and the flow passage () of the modulator body (), and wherein the foil element () is positioned up-stream of the modulator body () such that an inlet pressure of the fluid presses the foil element () against the modulator body () thereby providing a sealing level between the foil element () and the modulator body ().

In some examples, a method for operating a gas burner appliance includes determining, on basis of a nominal burner-load and on basis of a mixing ratio of gas and air of a gas/air mixture or a &#x3bb;-value of the gas/air mixture, a nominal air mass flow in order to provide the nominal burner-load. The method further comprises determining the ambient air pressure and the ambient air temperature of the ambient air, determining, on basis of the ambient air pressure and on basis of the ambient air temperature, the atmospheric density of the ambient air, determining on basis of the nominal air mass flow, on basis of the determined atmospheric density of the ambient air, and on basis of a system resistance of the gas burner appliance, the fan speed of the fan in order to provide the nominal burner-load.

Method and controller for operating a gas burner appliance

A device for handling combustion gas comprises: a housing, a first electronic element, a second electronic element, a connecting element, and a sealing element. The housing defines a gas chamber for the combustion gas and an ambient chamber for ambient air. The first electronic element is positioned within the gas chamber and is exposed to the combustion gas. The second electronic element is positioned within the ambient chamber and is not exposed to the combustion gas but is exposed to the ambient air. The connecting element electrically connects the first electronic element and the second electronic element. The sealing element is made at least partially from an elastomer, and is compressed between the connecting element and the housing, and seals the gas chamber against the ambient chamber even if electrically insulating material of the connecting element or the connecting element is removed.

Device for handling combustion gas

A flowmeter for a medium includes two transducers displaced from each other in the direction of flow of the medium. The flowmeter contains an emitting device which emits acoustic signals in both directions through the medium using the transducer. The flowmeter also contains a processing device for determining information via the flow of the medium by monitoring the travel times of the acoustic signals received by the transducers. A part of the space between the transducers defines a flow path which includes a flow structure with at least one medium flow passage extending axially in the direction of the flow of the medium. The medium flow passage has damping devices which are located so that at least one asymmetrical noise propagation mode is damped. The damping device has a damping structure which extends substantially across the whole length of the media flow passage.

Flowmeter for attenuating acoustic propagations

The meter has a housing with an inlet and an outlet. The housing is divided between the inlet and the outlet by a partition wall through which a measuring tube with a rectangular cross-section passes. Gas flows through the measuring tube, through which ultrasonic pulses are simultaneously transmitted by transducers disposed on the end walls. The flow rate of the gas is determined from the difference in the time of flight of the bidirectional sound pulses. The gas is directed into the measuring tube through two guidance ducts which run along both longitudinal sides of the measuring tube. Said guidance ducts are also rectangular in cross-section and each contain a flow rectifier.
