A laminated-core segment includes a plurality of axially layered metal sheets. Each metal sheet includes a yoke having grooves, teeth, and a yoke rear which connects the teeth, with at least some of the teeth having axially aligned recesses on a groove distal side of the metal sheet.

A dynamo-electric rotary machine includes a rotor defining an axis, a stator, and a can designed for arrangement in an air gap between the rotor and the stator in order to seal the stator and the rotor in relation to each other. The can has at least one section of average electrical conductivity in a range from 1 S/m to 10000 S/m in an axial and/or a tangential direction. The can is electrically conductively incorporated in an earthing system of the dynamo-electric machine.

A generator-gearbox arrangement for a wind turbine includes a generator having a stator and a rotor interacting with one another, a functional component arranged on an end side of the generator and including an extension which points toward the rotor, and a magnetic rail brake arrangement including component parts fastened to the extension. The magnetic rail brake arrangement is designed to apply a braking action which is based on an operating principle of electromagnetic attraction between the magnetic rail brake arrangement and at least one of the rotor and the functional component.

A rotary machine includes a rotor rotatable about a rotation axis and a stator mechanically divided into stator segments, each covering a respective section in relation to the rotation axis. Coils of one individual multi-phase rotary system are respectively arranged in the stator segments, each having terminals which connect phase lines of an individual multi-phase rotary system and are connected to the coils. A converter unit includes multiple subunits operated independently of one another, each forming an individual multi-phase rotary system. The number of phases of the subunits corresponds to the number of stator segments. The terminals of the stator segments are each connected to a subunit. The stator segments form groups of directly successive stator segments when viewed about the rotation axis. The terminals of the stator segments are connected to the same sub-unit within each group, but connected to different sub-units from group to group of stator segments.

The invention relates to a support structure () for a laminated core () of a stator segment () of a dynamoelectric machine having an external rotor, the support structure () having two joint plates () and two curved pressure plates (), the respective longitudinal faces of which are in each case mutually opposed, and which encompass a predefinable space and can be connected at their abutting edges. The support structure also has substantially radial bars or ribs () between the pressure plates () and at least one element having polygonal cut-outs, which element is connected to a longitudinal face of the ribs () and forms a base plate of the support structure ().

In a method an inner segment is first pre-assembled on each of a number of outer segments by at least one fixing element, so as to produce a plurality of segment modules having each a predetermined air gap between the inner segment and the outer segment. The inner segments and the outer segments are assigned to the rotor or stator of the electrical machine. The inner segments of the plurality of segment modules are fastened to an inner assembly device (for example a hub). The outer segments of the plurality of segment modules are fastened to an outer assembly device (for example a supporting structure). Finally, the fixing elements between the inner segments and the outer segments are removed.

Method for assembling a segmented electrical machine while maintaining gaps between segments

The invention relates to an annular rotor having a hollow shaft for an electric machine. In order to allow transport of such a machine, particularly for a very large model, the rotor is divided in the circumferential direction into a plurality of partial annular rotor segments (). The rotor further comprises a hollow shaft, wherein the closed ring shape of the rotor can be broken by separating the rotor segments () from each other.

A rail vehicle has a powered bogie, wherein the powered bogie has driven wheels. Each driven wheel of the powered bogie can be driven by an electric machine, with a power converter being assigned to the electric machine. As a result, a separate power converter is assigned to each driven wheel.

A permanent magnet (PM) rotor has a plurality of partial laminated stacks that are interspaced in the axial direction at a defined distance, thereby defining radial cooling slots. Permanent magnets are arranged in every partial laminated stack in inner pockets. The dimension of every permanent magnet in the axial direction does not or only insignificantly exceed the axial dimensions of the respective partial laminated stack. During assembly, the permanent magnets can be axially pushed through the inner pockets to the respective partial laminated stack (). The rotor has a very high degree of efficiency.

The invention relates to an electric motor () with permanent magnet excitation, comprising a stator (), a rotor (), comprising a hollow shaft () on which the permanent magnets () are positioned. The hollow shaft () is sealed tight against an output shaft () at least at the end faces thereof and a suitable coolant is provided in the enclosed cavity () which, during operation of the electric motor, evaporates from the relatively hot hollow shaft in the region of the permanent magnets () and condenses in the region of the relatively cold output shaft () such as to introduce a radial and axial heat transport.

In order to be able to electric drives in very tight installation spaces, e.g. in propulsion vehicles or machine tools, an electric machine () is proposed having a stator and a rotor (), with the laminations () of the stator have axial slots () and teeth () extending between adjacent slots () in direction air gap. At least a predefined number of the teeth () is configured as a single-tooth winding (), and at least one section () is provided in circumferential direction of the stator and is designed without slots but follows the contour of the stator bore () in the area of the air gap.

Electric machine

A traction drive, in particular for rail cars, includes a permanent-excited synchronous motor, a traction converter with a pulsed inverter for powering the motor, and ohmic brake resistors. Cross-over switches are connected with a corresponding input terminal of the motor and can switch the input terminal between a corresponding output terminal of the pulsed inverter (for travel) and a terminal of a corresponding brake resistor (for braking). The brake resistors are electrically connected in a star configuration. The traction drive can operate with different supply voltages. There is no longer a need for a mechanical brake, and flat spots on the wheels can be prevented.

A drive for a wheel set () of a chassis includes two wheels () positioned on a wheel set shaft (), which can be driven by at least one internal rotor motor that encompasses the wheel set shaft () and has a stator () and a rotor (). This configuration provides a compact direct drive.
