A two-part bearing cage for a ball bearing, including a first and a second annular body () having a plurality of retaining claws () on their opposing end faces. The two annular bodies () have an identical design and can be mounted opposite each other in such a way that cut-out sections () receive the retaining claws (), thereby forming pockets () for receiving and guiding rolling bodies (). The number of pockets () corresponds to the number of rolling bodies (). According to the invention, the individual pockets () are arranged at a distance from one another in the circumferential direction in such a way that a free area () for receiving lubricant is formed between two pockets (). At least two pairs of retaining claws (), at least two individual retaining claws (), and the base of a pocket combine to form one pocket (). The invention also relates to a ball bearing comprising a two-part bearing cage of this type.

A ball bearing cage having a first ring element and a second ring element is provided. The ring elements are each formed from sheet metal, and each include axial bulges separated by support surfaces. Ball guide pockets are formed between facing bulging inner walls by joining the support surfaces of the two ring elements. The ring elements are formed in such a way that the bulging inner walls that define the ball guide pockets define a channel cross-section which is concave in relation to a ball and which has an inner and an outer ball contact zone. The channel cross-section has such a depth in a groove base lying between said inner and outer ball contact zones that, when the ball comes into contact with the ball contact zones, an intermediate space remains between the ball and the groove base lying between the ball contact zones.

A roller bearing which has an outer and inner ring and ball rollers arranged between the rings, which roll in two groove-shaped tracks in the outer and inner rings and are held at a uniform distance to one another by a window cage that has two lateral ribs bent around two circumferential flanged edges to the inner ring and interconnected by pocket bridges. The cage pockets of the cage ribs have a hole formed from a cross-sectional contour of a ball roller arranged longitudinally to the circumferential direction and from a free contour incorporated therein and arranged perpendicular to the circumferential direction. The free contour in each cage pocket is expanded to a rectangle and the flange edges of the ribs each have reduced material thickness compared to the other material thickness of the cage by a circumferential, line-shaped burnishing.

Ball roller bearing

A ball roller bearing which has an outer and inner bearing ring and ball rollers arranged between the rings, which roll in groove-shaped tracks in the rings and are held at a uniform distance to one another by a window cage. The cage has two lateral angle ribs, pocket bridges, which connect the ribs and cage pockets separated by the pocket bridges. The pockets have a cross-shaped hole formed from a contour perpendicular to the circumferential direction and a cross-sectional contour of a ball roller arranged longitudinally to the circumferential direction. The side edges are formed from the pocket bridges, which have radii of arch-shaped guide surfaces corresponding to the running surfaces of two ball rollers. The pocket bridges have additional material profiling between the side edges and on the guide surfaces for axial stiffening of the cage and damping bearing noise.
