A serial peripheral interface (SPI) communication system includes a memory configured with a start register address and an end register address that define a register address range for a data operation; a chip select terminal configured to receive a chip select signal comprising an active and idle signal levels that define a plurality of chip select frames; a serial data input terminal configured to receive a master out, slave in (MOSI) signal, wherein the MOSI signal includes configuration information received in a first chip select frame of the data operation, wherein the configuration information includes an operation command bit indicating whether the data operation is a write operation or a read out operation and an auto-incrementation control bit indicating whether automatic register address incrementation across chip select frames is enabled or disabled; and a serial data output terminal configured to transmit a master in, slave out (MISO) signal.

Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to dynamic hardware pad control that is triggered by an intelligent hardware module that monitors an operational state of an IC pin. This hardware module then provides a control signal, which is based on the operational state of the IC pin, to a multiplexer control block that selects one of several different configurations for the IC pin. Because the control signal is provided by the hardware module, the techniques disclosed herein allow precise switching between a number of different IC pin configurations in a fast and efficient manner.

The invention relates to an electronic module, in particular a micro-processor and/or micro-controller module, and a process for operating a system module, able to be connected with a bus, in particular a LIN bus system. The process includes operating the system module in a first operating mode, and operating the system module in a second operating mode, when, within a pre-determined time period after the start of the first operating mode, a mode start and/or mode change signal&#x2014;not provided for by the system protocol&#x2014;is received via the bus system.

A measuring apparatus has a sensor element that produces an output signal proportional to a variable to be measured. An integrator which, beginning at a starting value, integrates the output signal from the sensor element. A comparator is connected downstream of the integrator, compares the output signal from the integrator with a threshold value, and outputs an output signal corresponding to the result of the comparison. A reset device that is likewise connected downstream of the comparator and resets the integrator to the starting value at specific times. This is a simple way of achieving integrability in autonomous modules.
