A method performed in a control unit of a power tool driven by an electric motor, for detecting a fault state in the power tool, wherein the electric motor is associated with a motor current drawn over a motor interface, the method comprising monitoring a parameter of the electric motor during operation of the power tool, wherein the parameter is indicative of the motor current, obtaining a fault model, wherein the fault model is configured to classify a state of the power tool into a pre-determined number of states comprising one or more fault states, based on a series of electric motor parameter values, classifying a state of the power tool into the pre-determined number of states based on the fault model and on one or more values of the monitored electric motor parameter, and triggering an action by the power tool in case the state of the power tool is classified as a fault state.

A concrete cutting machine includes a motor, a pivot arm, and a concrete cutting chain assembly. The motor has an output drive, and the pivot arm has an input coupled to the output drive for receiving power from the motor. The arm is configured to pivot relative to the motor, and the pivot arm has a pivot arm output. The concrete cutting chain assembly is supported on the pivot arm and has a power input coupled to the pivot arm output. The chain assembly is configured to be pivotable relative to the pivot arm.

An interchangeable concrete cutting chainsaw cutting assembly adapted for installation upon a drive assembly in exchange for a removed, different type cutting head assembly. The chainsaw cutting assembly includes a housing that has fasteners that releasably attach the housing to a drive assembly in an installed configuration. A ration transmission has a plurality of interconnected rotation member, each rotatable member having a mounting shaft positioned at a fixed location on the housing by a bearing assembly. The driven member has a receiver that interconnects with a driveshaft of the driver assembly in the installed configuration whereby the driven member is rotated by the drive assembly. Electric saw being powered by an external power supply through a multicore cable. The multicore cable includes electrical wires for supplying power to the motors of the electric saw and communication wires for data communication between the electric saw and the power supply. Two motors of the electric saw are three phase permanent magnet motors, with an outer rotor and an inner stator. Each of the two motors has three Hall Effect sensors located around the outer rotor.

No over dimensioning is necessary, and the transmission () will make out fine in rough environments. The transmission may be of single-speed or two-speed type.
