According to various embodiments, a method for operating a switching converter includes determining an operating parameter of the switching converter and, if the operating parameter is outside a first operating range, adjusting a control parameter in order to adjust the operating parameter to be within the first operating range. The operating parameter includes at least one of a switching frequency of the switching converter and a current ripple value of an output current.

System and method for a switching converter

A converter circuit arrangement is provided, including a converter switch controller, a converter switch, a load circuit interface and an inductor. The converter switch controller may include a control input. The converter switch may be coupled between a first power supply potential and the control input. The inductor may be coupled between a second power supply potential and the load circuit interface. The load circuit interface may be coupled between the control input and the inductor.

Converter circuit arrangement and conversion method

A circuit configuration having a filter, for example a bandpass filter, and a method for its operation are specified, which the circuit configuration allows for compensation of a frequency error, for example between an actual mid-frequency and a nominal frequency. A first mixer, upstream of the filter and a second mixer downstream from the filter are provided. A signal and a respective oscillation frequency are each supplied to respective inputs of the first and second mixers. The oscillation frequencies are mixed as a function of the frequency error in frequency generators such that the signal at the intermediate frequency is matched to the filter characteristics of the filter which is subject to tolerances. In consequence, filters that satisfy the stringent requirements for WCDMA mobile radio applications, but by virtue of the manufacturing technique, have an excessive mid-frequency error, can be used, for example, in heterodyne receivers.

Receiver circuit compensation for filter response error

A testing apparatus for testing mobile telephones includes an antenna coupler, a holder and a testing device. The antenna coupler includes a printed circuit board upon one side of which is formed a slot antenna operative in a first frequency range and a dipole antenna operative in a second frequency range. The holder secures a mobile telephone under test in proximity to the antenna coupler. A coupler formed on a second side of the printed circuit board selectively supplies signals received by one of the antenna elements to the testing device. The testing device measures transmission and reception characteristics of the mobile telephone under test, including transmission phase error, frequency error, power and spectrum, and bit error rate.

Apparatus for testing mobile telephones
